Maggie's POV
Jc pulled up to the club. I could hear the music pounding and I could see the strobe lights blaring from outside. I was aware that creepy people come to things like this sometimes. And I would be alert for anything suspicious. I would stay close to Jc. I would be safe. nothing would happen. I reassured my self as I unbuckled slowly. Before I even realized Jc had gotten out he was already on my side of the car opening the car door for me.
"M'lady." He motioned for me to step out.
"Thank you sir!" I replied sarcastically.
My hands started to shake like they did the first night Jc slept over. the night joey went missing. Jc grabbed my hands.
"I'll be with you the entire time." he cooed.
"I just- I just hope another Dylan isn't in there." I stuttered nervously.
"There is, there are Dylan's everywhere. they are just a part of every day life. My Dylan is losing you." He spoke.
My heart swelled. Did he really love me that much? I was sure I loved him. But I never thought someone could love ME by choice.
"My Dylan is going in there, and not coming out the same. I don't want to be... I don't want to be hurt again. I've had my fair share, I just want to fit in like everybody else." I replied in sadness.
"But that's just it Mags, you're not like everybody else. You are special, I don't think anybody else could've handled what life has thrown at you with such grace and persistence." He sounded sincere.
"Well let's do this then, shall we." I replied with new found confidence.
**
Jc strolled in as if he was a king. I tried to follow his example. I could feel eyes penetrating me, watching my every move. this was my worst fear.... Confrontation.
**
Jc's POV
I looked down at Maggie trailing behind me. I could see the attention she was getting form the guys. One to my left cat called, I turned towards him immediately. I tried to look as intimidating as possible. I needed to prove to Maggie I could protect her, like her brother does. but Joey is taller than me, and bigger, so this may be harder than I thought.
I turned away from the guy and continued down towards the bar where we were to meet Vince.

Maggie's POV
I smiled when I saw Jc confront the man how howled at us. Why would he do that to US of any one in the club?
It must be because my makeup is running. or my hair is frizzed. I tried to tame my appearance subtlety.
Jc led us to the bar, where a very tall guy, probably six foot, stood.
"Suuuup nigggggggga!!!" The man slurred towards Jc.
"Sup Vince, how's the night treated you so far?" Jc responded.
Vince didn't look half bad. He had olive skin, brown eyes and hair, and a kind of playful look to him. Like you couldn't get him to stop smiling. He had a good charisma to him. I of see why him and Jc got along, joey would probably fit right in here.
"Who's this, I thought you said you were bringing your girlfriend, Jc?" Vincent asked nonchalantly.
Jc cleared his throat and guided me in front of him for Vincent to see. He was showing me off, I think that he thinks he got a better deal than he actually did.
"This is Maggie. and she IS my girlfriend." Jc retorted proudly
Vincent leaned in my ear, so close that I could smell the alcohol on his breath.
"How much is he paying you." he half whispered to me.
"None." I respond monotonously while I turned around and began to make out with Jc. I felt his hands move down my back, he gave my butt a light squeeze and I giggled, pulling away from him.
I turned back around to see Vincent's mouth wide open.
"Well if you weren't Jc's I definitely try to tap dat." He said in the same tone one could read a dictionary. Man, Vincent was an awko taco I thought to myself.
"Do you want a drink Mags?" He whispered to me.
"Um yes, I'll take a shot of Jack please." I responded politely.
The group of guys that had stood to left of us suddenly stopped talking and looked over at me. I heard one of them laugh at my request. so when Jc arrived back with my shot they surrounded me although the looks Jc was throwing out.
I took the shot glass in my hand, but I started to shake. I heard chuckles from the back of the group.
In one movement I threw my head back and downed the shot. It was like candy, I drank a lot worse. The laughing ceased.
I raised my eyebrows at them.
"Bring me another shot!" I shouted and everyone cheered.
I looked at Jc, he smiled at me and winked.
I had faced my Dylan.
**
I was on four, the guy in front of me four as well. he had made a mistake, the mistake of seeing who could take the most alcohol before passing out. I took another shot, no change. He took another shot, and he started to sway in his seat, laughter erupted from the crowd surrounding us.
I took another, no change.
He took another, and fell onto the table.
I jumped out of my seat shouting. "Take that Oprah!"
But when I scanned the crowd Jc was gone. I walked around the club, looking at faces, until I found a slightly familiar one.
"Vincent? Have you seen Jc?" I asked slowly, trying to think about my words. but it seemed impossible. I was talking, keeping balance, and trying to think of where Jc might be.
"Yeah, he went upstairs with a chick about twenty minutes ago." he slurred
"Um, what's up stairs?" I asked on the verge of tears.
"The house of the person who owns this place." Vincent answered numbly.
"So like, bedrooms are up there?" I asked, wanting to deny what was happening.
"Well I would hope so, since you know it's a house and all" he spat at me.
I booked it upstairs, checking all of the rooms. Until I came to a shut door at the end of a hallway. I gulped as I reached for the handle.
I cried "Jc, how could you! I thought you actually loved me! I thought losing me was your Dylan." I shrieked, enraged.
Jc was on top of a brunette, his shirt was off and they were both "having fun" if you know what I mean.
But as soon as he heard me screaming he whipped his head around. I heard him yell at me but I just kept running. I ran out of the club and down the street, tears streaming down my face.
I called Joey, still wailing as it rang."Hello?"
"Joey, it's me, can you come get me I-I need you." I cried into my cell phone
"Maggie? Are you drunk? Where are you?" He questioned me. But I didn't care, I was just glad that my rock was still there for me.
"5th street, by that club." I whimpered.
"I'll be there in ten minutes. just keep calm and don't do anything stupid."
