Listen, I'm all for enemies to lovers ships, but this goes too far.
Tom and Tord are literally real people. And, I don't know if anyone knows this, but it's not cute to ship real people. Cartoons? Sure, they can't actually have feelings. But living, breathing human beings? No.
Don't take this as fact, but I heard from someone that both Tom and Tord are uncomfortable with the shipping. And to that I say, rightfully so. If I was shipped with anyone I considered a friend, I would be highly uncomfortable and 100% annoyed. Especially if people didn't listen to my requests to stop.
Now, I know that not everybody ships the real people, it's just the characters. And I guess, when you put it like that, it's not as bad. So long as anyone doesn't try to show them the ship art, it's not the worst thing in the world.
But still, even if it was just the characters being shipped, there would need to be a whole lot of development. And no, saying that the characters "were just hiding their feelings all along" doesn't help at all. Of course, it is just fiction, so nobody really cares, but this is the way I see it.
