** ALSO EXTREMELY LONG

"Avada Kedavra!" A burst of green light shot through the air, nearly missing Y/N's left ear. Ron, with his wand directly pointing out, yelled the same curse toward the death eater who had tried to murder his best friend. With a loud scream, the death eater crumpled to the floor and breathed her last breath. Y/N staggered back, quickly rebounding from what she had just witnessed and returning to firing off the intense spells that were now bouncing off the shaking walls at an alarming rate. A scraggly looking man in a black hood scowled at Y/N, lifting it in the direction of her throat.

           "Diffindo!"

A quick duck to the floor sent the spell flying off behind her, breaking apart at the wall. Through gritted teeth, she screamed the only spell on her mind. Harry had taught it to her in training, thoroughly explaining how to do it correctly, as it wasn't the easiest spell to manage.

"Sectumsempra!" yelled Y/N, sending the red light careening toward the horrid looking man, wounding him in the chest. He fell to the floor, bleeding out slowly and no longer posing a threat. Now with no one trying to kill her this very moment, she could go back to what she had originally been doing; searching for Harry who had been nowhere to be seen.

Wand clutched between her fingers, sweat pooled at her palms as she ran down the empty corridors. She remembered him telling her something the night before, when they had broken in...

"I think the crown contains a... Horcrux, and it's in the Room of Requirement. But you mustn't telling anyone... Word gets around too fast"

The light bulb practically lit up faster than she could remember the full sentence. She knew exactly where it was, and how deserted that area of the castle would be. With caution, she tilted her head in all directions to check that the coast was clear.
Seeing no signs of any life nearby, she quickly set off towards the Room.

She did as she always did, immersing herself in the thoughts of what she wanted in the room. The door appeared only twenty seconds later and gave her a sense of relief. She'd finally get to see him, and they would fight side by side and end this entire mess that had been ongoing for way too long.

Slowly but surely, the girl twisted the door handle, erasing all of the noise it would've made done otherwise. She came inside, spotting Harry in the corner of the room at once, hunched over something, deeply engrossed in whatever it was. She couldn't hold her excitement back any longer.

"Harry!"

His head whipped around, and his face immediately lit up at the sight of her. Still holding whatever it was, he almost sprinted over to her, nearly knocking her over when he embraced her in his arms. The two of them held each other, overjoyed for a good ten seconds, before Harry pulled away.

"I've missed you," Harry smiled, kissing her forehead. "You look beautiful."

Y/N's hair was matted after not washing it for several days, her jeans and hoodie splattered with mud and sweat. Smudged across her face was dirt, and small cuts had formed from the battle she had previously been fighting. She laughed genuinely; rolling her eyes in cynicism.

"I would want nothing more to stay and talk with you, love," He continued. "But, I-I just found the Horcrux, and I have to go destroy it. Like...I'm serious, look-"

He thrust it out in front of him, opening the box to present a glittering diadem that sparkled every shade of blue. Y/N gaped, switching her wide stare from the box to him. She could barely get any words out.
