Oh my Irene did I just ask her on a date? Or are just hanging out I mean knowing Y/n this could go either way she's a damn wildcard, but I kind of like that

Zane grumbled to himself brushing his long black bangs to cover his eye. Checking his phone for a text from Y/n he saw that she wanted to meet at the campus fields near the picnic tables and that she brought a "surprise". Knowing her it might either be something to get stoned with or some food. If she's bringing something, maybe I should to.

You sat at one of the picnic tables playing some games on your phone waiting for Zane to show up. The long sleeved cold shoulder crop top you were wearing was a good decision for a windy day at the park. As much as you didn't want to admit it you stressed over what to wear for the date like meeting wanted to look good despite how casual this all was. As you spotted Zane making his way over to you, as you noticed how well done his hair looked like he spent more time than usual styling it. All of your insecurities flowed out of you like fresh squeezed sponge. Looks like I'm not the only who spent more time than usual getting ready for this little adventure.

"Hey eyeliner you look real nice" You greeted him noticing him holding two drinks in hands.

Zane's breathing quickened noticing all the tiny details about you he seemed to miss before. From how the dark blue top with bright red roses highlighted the brightness in your for once non tired eyes, to how all the little marks on your face seemed to glow in the sun made you really seem brave to Zane. 

"You, you look really nice daydreamer" He complimented, hoping you didn't notice the stutter in his words. Smiling in response you gestured to him to sit down across from you. 

"Psh that's only because you've never seen me with a full 8 hours of sleep, and your hair looks pretty neat too" You said chuckling. Pulling open the top of the box you swore Zane nearly squealed in excitement once he saw the various cupcakes inside, of course he heavily denied it once you pointed it out to your amusement. Hehe he's so cute..

"I also brought something for you since you seemed to like these soo" The black haired male said, passing one of the drinks to you. A huge grin graced your face as you held onto his hands in happiness at his kind gesture.

"Haha! I can't believe you remembered my chaotic drink mix" You laughed not noticing how your fingers entwined with his or the slight red peeking from his mask.

"Tch how could I forget it was a barista's worst nightmare" He said in an attractive chuckle.Your heartbeat skyrocketed to the point you were afraid he'd feel it still holding your hand.

Chatting the afternoon away you both felt like time had slipped your fingers.

"Hey this was really fun I was wondering if you wanted to do this again.." Zane said, feeling his confidence fading looking directly in your soft e/c eyes.

With a small smirk you leaned towards his face as if to give him a kiss on the cheek but brushed past his mask and whispered "Anytime Zane".

He willed himself not to shiver as an electric feeling filled his upper body from how close you got to him. She really is something else... He thought after you giggled and both of you went your separate ways.
