"Ava's so cold to everyone, I wonder why?" The freshmen boy gossiped to his friend.

"Maybe she just has a bad home life" The other student responded. The black haired girl whipped around to face them with an angry expression.

"I don't care about what you say about me, don't talk bad about my dads!" She snapped eyes full of anger.

"Well maybe if you weren't such a-" The short boy started before realizing the taller presence behind him.

"Alright freshies enough it's too early in the day for you all to be fighting" Someone said sounding annoyed. The voice drifted from a tired looking girl with light eyebags and rushed eyeliner wings as she came into view.

"Don't tell us what to do" The short boy said in an angry tone to hide his embarrassment from being called out.

"God who let little gremlins like you into this school" The upperclassmen sassed back smirking, waiting for a reaction. To easy heh, I know exactly how this is gonna go.

"You-" The other student started beforeing getting cut off.

"I wasn't finished talking, stop making all this noise and leave this girl alone or I'm telling everyone you tried to push her against the lockers bullying her" You said taking a sip of your iced tea/coffee with a sly smile. Ava stood there still in shock that another person was sticking up for her and in awe of her whole vibe.

"But that's not true we didn't do that, we'll tell them your lying" The brown haired boy protested.

"Yeah here's the thing I know the staff and teachers pretty well at this point and you two have a history of causing trouble so I'm sure it won't be too hard, so I suggest you leave us alone" You said crossing your arms over your form fitting top. The boys cursed in defeat leaving you and Ava alone in the hallway.

"You good?" You said, asking the cute girl. With your full focus now solely on her, you noticed her fiery hot pink eyes and her short stature.

"U-um yeah, I'm Ava who are you?" Ava said, mentally cursing herself out for appearing weak in front of you.

"I'm Y/n babes and a junior this year" You said winking at her flustered expression.

"Why did you help me? I had it handled" Ava said trying to push down the butterflies forming.

"Pft sure, wanna eat lunch together" You offered with a soft smile.

Deciding to take a chance and let her guard down a little bit Ava accepted to delight.
