Cameraman: Going live in 3. 2. 1.

Gabby: Hello trainers of Galar, and quite possibly the world. Gabby here, and I'm interviewing Contest Star Reese Katarina. Say hi to the viewers at home.

Reese: Hello everyone. I'm Reese Katarina, here with my partner Corviknight, Aera.

Gabby: You've been very popular in the contest scene, from the very beginning.

Reese: That's right.

Gabby: Your fan base is large, from regions all over the world. Many people call you the greatest of this generation, on par with the likes of Wallace and Lissia from Hoenn.

Reese: Lissia is my idol. My role model. I'm not cutesy, or the least bit interesting, but she is who I aspire to stand next to on stage. Wallace, however, I have no doubt I have surpassed him.

Gabby: Is that overconfidence, or your rumored prejudice against male coordinators?

Reese: Prejudice? I have no idea what you talking about. It's a known fact that coordinators of the female sex have more success than males. A Contest isn't a show of masculinity, or strength. It's where Trainers go to show off the beauty, cuteness, and elegance of their Pokémon partners. Males have no right to disgrace the Contest scene so. I do not mind men, I don't hate them, as the majority of my fan base are boys and men. I simply don't believe they can bring out the beautiful potential of their Pokémon, and therefore have no place trying to make Coordinating their career.

Gabby: I see. That is...a very interesting viewpoint. Then how about Contest Star Lyric from Unova? What are you views on him?

Reese: Lyric is a rare case. He is a male, yet he is able to show the beauty of rather uninteresting Pokémon types. However, my ideals stay unswayed. It pains me to admit that he's good, but the fact is that he's never beat me in a Contest where we both competed.

Gabby: That is true... But in other Contests, even in a completely skewed cast of girls, he can top them.

Reese : Can we move on? I'm getting tired of hearing this nonsense.

Gabby: R-Right! Anyway, I would also like to congratulate you on being invited to participate in the World Coronation Series of Contests. You must have been happy to receive this news.

Reese: Yes, I was. I'm happy that my fans think so highly of me and my partners.

Gabby: I'm sure Lyric will give you a run for your money. I hear he's been upping his game since being invited.

(Without another word, Reese stands up, and walks out of the studio upon hearing Lyric's name one last time.)

Gabby: Huh? R-Reese?! Uh, that's it for this interview. Have a wonderful day, everybody.

Cameraman: Going live in 3. 2. 1.

Gabby: Hello everyone. Gabby here again, bringing you an interview with Pokémon Trainer Ike Manaka from Alola.

Ike: Hello.

Gabby: Could you tell us about yourself?

Ike: No.

Gabby: Oh. Um...how about your opinion on being invited to compete in the World Coronation Series?

Ike: They made a good call.

Gabby: How so?

Ike: It's simple. I'm going to win.

Gabby: Is that overconfidence I hear?

Ike: It's a simple fact.

Gabby: Care to explain how you will win?

Ike: Why spoil it when the world can learn for themselves?

Gabby: Good point. How about Sora? You two have been rivals since you started out as Trainers.

Ike: He, too, will lose.

Gabby: On your current win to loss record with Sora, you two are tied at 100 wins and an equal amount of losses to each other. What makes you so confident this tournament will be any different?

Ike: No comment.

Gabby: R-Right, okay. Well, I wish you luck in the World Coronation Series.

Ike: I don't need luck.

(With that, Ike stands up and leaves, leaving Gabby and her cameraman in the studio they were filming in.)
