Prompt: Alexander sings Thomas a song at their wedding

"All right settle down ladies and gentlemen because you haven't seen anything yet!" John waved his hand towards the crowd trying to get their voices to settle after their little reception game.

The last titters of laughter faded back into small chuckles and then confined giggles and coughs. People nudged neighbors to get them to quiet down and finally the tent was silent save for the breeze that was ruffling the flaps.

John smiled warmly. "Thank you everyone, now if i could please have one half of the most dapper pair of grooms in the country come to the front please?" He pointed at Thomas. "Looking at you TJ."

Thomas crinkled his nose in confusion because they had not put this on the planner. He looked down at Alexander who merely shrugged looking just as confused.

"Hey Thomas you waiting for a Proclamation?" This caused another round of laughter and an embarrassed Thomas to finally stand and march to the front of the room.

"Your vice excellency." Lafayette brought out a chair and bowed low as Thomas sat in it. Thomas swiped playfully at his head which caused the French man to laugh.

"Okay enough playing around guys.'' Thomas crossed his arms. "What's going on?"

''Why Thomas!" James covered his mouth in fake shock and shot Alexander a knowing look. "We'd have thought you would have figured it out by now."

"What?" He looked around at all the faces around him that were smiling, all clued in to the same joke and he was getting a bit frustrated.

"Thomas." Hercules laid a hand on his shoulder. "Alexander has prepared something for you."

Thomas's eyes roved over to Alexander who was now rising from his seat and crossing to the front of the room as well.

"He has?" Thomas now had a playful smile on his face as he watched his newlywed husband approach him.

"He has." Alexander nodded and sat in the chair beside Thomas that Lafayette had also provided.

He held out his small pale hands still looking in to Thomas's eyes and without a single seconds hesitation placed his large dark ones in them.

"Thomas."  He paused

He smiled and squeezed his hands reassuringly. "Yes?"

And suddenly Alexander is on his feet with a finger pointed in his face.

"I will never let you me leave i promise i'm not lying!"

He gestures grandly to the crowd. "Go ahead ask anybody who has seen me trying."

And just as suddenly he is seated promptly in Thomas's lap. "I'm not going."

He leans in close as though confining a secret. "If it seems like a did i'm probably waiting outside."

He stands up and paces around him. "Such a stubborn man you'll likely never meet another, if she was still alive you could ask my mother. "

He clasps his hands to his chest. "She was the best, and you'll all about her on my family history test!"

He takes Thomas's hands again. "I'm gonna do this right, show you i'm not moving."

He swivels around his chair putting an arm around Thomas. "Wherever you go i won't be far to follow."

"Oh." He takes his face tenderly into his hands. "I'm gonna love you so."

He lets him go and ruffles his hair. "You'll learn what i already know."

He falls backwards onto the chairs his head landing in Thomas's lap. "I love you means you're never ever ever getting rid of me."

Thomas looks down at him with the widest smile and Alexander tweaks his nose. "You can try, oh but I." He sits up.

"I love you means your never ever ever getting rid of me."

Thomas laughs as he pats his hair back into place. "Is that all?"

Alexander shakes his head. "I've practiced this for a while Thomas let me finish!"

He composes himself momentarily before he stands. "I grew up an only child in a small shack cause people called my ma a slut. I spent most days alone my only friend was a stray mutt. That i called Peaches."

Thomas smirks. "Peaches?"

Alexander shrugs. "I thought it really was a hoot to call a dog a kind of fruit. "

He sat beside Thomas again. "Now it played hard to get growling while it bit me. What it was trying to say was Alexander come and get me. I learned quickly."

He turned to the crowd. "That perseverance stood between, that dog and his new best friend, ME!"

He stood up again. "Oh i'm gonna do this right."

He took Thomas's hands and this time he pulled them to his feet looking him in the eyes. "Show you i'm not moving."

He gestured to his friends who sang along with him. "Wherever you go i won't be far to follow."

"Oh." He climbed on top of the chair so he could match Thomas's height hold him. "I'm gonna love you so." He gave his cheek a quick kiss before hopping down.

"You'll learn what i already know."

His friends joined in with him again. "I love you means you're never ever ever getting rid of me."

Thomas smirked and crossed his arms. "When you say never?"

He pushed him into his seat and sat in his lap again.

"I love you means you're never, ever, ever getting rid of me."

He finished the song with a kiss and there was a round of applause.

"Careful." Thomas murmured as they pulled away. "I'm going to hold you to that."
