Kagiso
Kagiso was in the garage at his home helping his father with fixing the car. Despite the fact that his father had another car in a perfect condition, he loved that old skorokoro. When Kagiso would suggest to his father that he should sell the old car the father would reply:
" Son, this car has a lot of memories, and when I sell it I will be letting go of these memories, I just can't let go."
For Kagiso this would sound weird and bogus, for he didn't believe there was such in life. His motto was to 'live life to the fullest' even if along the way you will make mistakes, but those mistakes would be worth it, after all you only live once. As he was helping his father he thought:
I need money to go partying next Friday, it's the only reason why I am helping dad. Since I broke up with Thembani, I need a new girl and going to a party is the only way I could get one. Eish I messed up with that girl again, she wasn't supposed to catch me with her friend like that. Sometimes I can be stupid. Next time I will do better and make sure that I don't get caught.
He was still holding the car bonnet when a knock came from the kitchen door. Being the only child in the house, it was his duty to attend the door. Before he could open his friend Terrence walked in. For him it was his second home, knocking was just a formality to stay out of trouble with Kagiso's mother.
"Sho Ntwana," said Terrence giving Kagiso their usual handshake.
"Ah Sterror, z'khiphani (howzit)?" he responded shaking Terrence's hand.
They both walked to Kagiso's bedroom, closing the door behind them.
"So, KG is your mother around?" asked Terrence with his eyes searching around as if she was hiding in the room.
"Don't worry she's held up in a meeting, knowing her she'll come back later, don't stress Ntwana." He replied throwing himself on top of his bed.
Terrence and Kagiso have been friends from primary and despite of them coming from different backgrounds, their friendship was tight. Kagiso was a son of a married couple with a father working as an Accountant and a mother working at a school. Though his mother didn't want to stay in the townships, his father insisted in staying where he grew up. Whilst Terrence's family were renting in a garage. His mother was a single parent raising 5 kids. The strange thing about Kagiso and Terrence was Kagiso's parents could afford a luxurious lifestyle, but he always preferred to wear plain clothes. Whilst Terrence always wore like a child of a millionaire. At school since they were always together, everyone assumed that Terrence was also from a rich family.
Though they had a good friendship, they were always up to no good. Their friendship was based on nothing but girls. Sometimes they would bet on who will get a girl laid first, it was part of the game. Since they were also doing well with their studies, no teacher had a problem with that. However, Kagiso made sure that he does all this away from his mother's eyes. One of the biggest disadvantages of having your mother as one of the teachers in your school. What would normally happen was they would go to Comrade's place since he built a shack in his yard. So, since he and Kagiso were friends, he'd let him and Terrence to bring girls over in his shack.
For Kagiso, he would never date a girl more than a week and normally the relationship would end after having sex. If he was dating longer than that period it was because he wasn't dating one girl for that time and the two relationship would last as long as he was caught cheating. In fact, he normally dated girls who throw themselves to him for that one week and dump them. Therefore, he had a terrible reputation even though his mother was also a teacher in the same school. Since he was adorable, smart, teachers loved him, and he had an innocent face. For this reason, no girl would complain about him to the teachers let alone his mother.
