It was about 8 p.m. Bontle had done helping with the peeling. She offered to go with her aunt to help where there was a funeral. As for Lesedi, she 'fell sick' the minute they started talking about peeling vegetables. When they finished peeling Bontle's aunt accompanied Bontle home, she was going to attend the night vigil of the funeral, therefore she had to go back to Betty's home.
"Ey Bontle, I wanted to ask Betty's son to accompany you, but I don't trust these boys. At least if Terrence was here he'd take you home safe. Even if he would try anything I know where to find him," said Auntie as they walked home.
Bontle kept quiet yet smiling as she was unsure what to say after her aunt had said that.
"Ey mara Lesedi is lazy, once she hears there's work, she starts being sick. I am sure she is watching TV as we speak," she continued.
Her aunt stood at the gate watching over her as she walked inside the house.
When Bontle entered she found Lesedi watching TV as her mom said. Whilst Lesedi's father was sleeping on the sofa.
"Hey Lesedi, I am home," she said as she passed her going to their bedroom.
Lesedi followed Bontle, she seemed highly excited.
I wonder what is making her over the moon, but I know she will tell me...
"Bontle, you won't believe what happened today," said Lesedi as she sat on the bed.
"Tell me, I am listening," Bontle replied.
"So, when you left, Terrence came by finding me alone, we had a great time," said Lesedi who couldn't stop smiling.
"What do you mean great time?" asked Bontle who was confused.
"No like we talked about stuff, and life...I think he likes me," Lesedi said whilst blushing.
"I don't know much about these things, but I don't think Terrence is a good guy for you to be honest," said Bontle who was lying on the bed.
"But I love him Bontle, you won't understand because you've never been in love," said Lesedi.
"Okay, maybe I don't understand...Are you happy though?" asked Bontle looking straight into her eyes.
"I am more than happy, I am over the moon. Just imagine if talking to him makes me feel like this, what more once it's official?" said Lesedi smiling from ear to ear.
"Okay then sis," shrugged Bontle.
"By the way, I have been noticing this, at first I kept quiet because I thought I was imagining things but after today I really want to know. What's going on between you and KG?" asked Lesedi with a mischievous smile.
