This is Fin, he's 21 and is in the police academy. Finally someone who can get me and my brothers out of trouble. Lol, kidding...anyway. We was always into cop shows as a kid, he sometimes even joins me and Ethan when we watch the Mentalist. He also watches NCIS and CIA or ABC or something or other. If it has detectives in it, he's watched it.
8 years ago when I was 8 and Fin was 13, he assigned roles to us incase there was any chance there would be a zombie apocalypse in the near future. At first he wanted to be the commander but 18 year old Maverick quickly shut him down, already assigning roles to us with Fin butting in with important jobs for everyone. Everyone got really cool ones but I just got Scavenger. Like Dylan got Guard, Ethan got to be the Scout, Felix was Lookout, Fletcher was a Hunter, Fin was Raider (of course), Harvey was just the Explosive Specialist (half expect that Fin was running out of ideas at this point), Hugh got to be Marksman with Jett being the Cook.
Actually, now that I think about it. Scavenger is a lot more cooler than being a Cook.
R.I.P Jett.
He's really enjoying it actually meeting new people, training and learning how to shoot a gun. He loves it. A few years back a friend of his went missing when they were 15 and he never saw her again. Fin was heartbroken when after several months, the leads went dead and the police proclaimed it was a cold case. Her parents moved away and never contacted. Ever since then he wanted to be an officer of the law. Wanting to make sure no one has to go through that pain again. He felt like it was his fault since he got in trouble which caused Dad to take away his phone, that night his friend texted and called him several times crying about someone breaking in the house whilst her parents were at a formal dinner.
He's never forgiven himself since.
Fin would be one of my brothers that I would be the closest with. It would be a secret I would take to grave. Whenever he would have a bad day or it nears the dates of her disappearance or birthday, I would make sure to buy chocolate and ice cream and we'd cuddle whilst watching sad movies. He never really makes it through the day without passing out, crying taking a lot out of him. But I never left him. Once when I was 11, I went to go to the toilet and left him to keep sleeping. When I came back he had disappeared. I only found on the lawn out front crying, thinking that I had been taken too. From then on every time he was asleep I would tell him before I left, his sobs still etched in my brain.
Though his best friend is always there to keep an eye on him, for which I am grateful for. Mitch Jenkins has been Fin's friend for a few years through school and had no real calling in life, so he figured he might as well be Fin's partner in crime. He's pretty laid back for a future cop but knows when to get serious when need be, his moods changing faster than cracking a whip. He snacks a lot, especially on pizza though he does like pineapple on it which makes his position in our household a tense one. The rest of us not agreeing in the slightest.
Once Mitch and Jett got into an argument about the finer foods, Mitch thinking that apples dipped into meat pies is exquisite and Jett promptly trying not to throw up. I did though. Fin and Mitch usually watches Friends on their days off from the academy and I join because I love all the characters. Except Ross. Ross and Rachel's relationship really toxic in my opinion. They might graduate in the middle of the year before being located to a specific precinct and then they would be really put to the rest.
Hopefully they would be ready for what happens.
