It was 1:00 pm, and we were finally back in New York. The city was bustling as a massive rush hour started to make it hard to get back to our apartment. Our legs, except Tsukis, were asleep after sitting for many hours without moving. It was an uncomfortable experience since it was made longer due to us having to pull over during the trip for rather... unfortunate reasons.
As we finally got to our apartments, everyone went into their rooms swiftly. Nobody said a single thing, and they were probably going to be sleeping all day, so I was left alone. As I opened my door and plopped limply onto my bed, all I could think about was what happened at the cabin. I couldn't get my head around all of the impossible situations, the note in the locked car, fingerprints inside of locked doors, and notes inside clothing, that couldn't be seen in the darkness...were they demons..?
I felt like I needed to write down what I had when it came to information. I had to heave myself up with my stick arms to grab my notebook again, and start writing stuff down as pertains to how they corresponded with other things that happened, it was foolish of me to do so, but I felt like I needed to be the detective.I was writing for hours, drool dribbling down my face as my body finally caved in from the fatigue. A few minutes later a flash woke me up, an all too familiar flash that made my eyes flutter open in fear and alertness, this light had to have meant something. I had to take this out of my wrist. It was easier said than done, cutting my wrist could easily kill me, and if anyone saw I would look like I had become depressed in 6 hours. I stared at my wrist as it flashed more than usual.
3 minutes passed but couldn't get myself to do it, especially since the flash was so dim so it looked pretty deep in there. We had the rest of the week off of work and it was already Tuesday which gave me plenty of time for me to think about what to do, before that I took a nap feeling my phone under me as a removed the covers from my bed, I glanced at it for a bit feeling more appreciative of this broken object and held it closer.Hours passed, the house was the most silent its ever been and it was weirdly peaceful for the time being.
