Sour Ending

This chapter actually starts back when you and Adrien were fighting back in the chapter "One Down One to Go". In case you forgot how it ended here's an exerpt from it:

~Adrien's POV~

From the corner of my eye I see (y/n) tumble to the ground with her ninja star underneath her. That's a pretty cool skill. Must be something she picked up from soul binding. I also notice that Mayura is on the ground and she seems to be very weak but my attention focuses back at Hawkmoth when Ladybug calls me. "Watch out!" I dodge an attack from him and I see him look over at Mayura. "W-what is this? What kind of miraculous is she? This can't be true...I've seen all miraculous's but this....this one's different..." With him distracted we charge towards him but he looks at us just in time. "No you don't!" He knocks the both of us down and we get up shakily. As looks back at Midnight Glow his brows crease with worry as he murmurs to himself. Something about his voice is familiar...I just can't pin it but I feel like I've heard it before...As we continue fighting I can't help but be disturbed by his familiar sounding voice.

This chapter starts off here, during the battle. So they're still fighting and Hawkmoth hasn't escaped with Mayura.

~Adrien's POV~

While he's distracted I use the opportunity and trip him up. He falters to the ground and I search for his miraculous and quickly grab it. He shouts as he reaches for it and I quickly jump back as he de-transforms. I gasp as I face the reality of what I know is true but don't want to accept. I look at him. My father, with tears in my eyes. "Why...? Out of all people why did you have to be my worst nightmare...?" He stands up angrily and dusts off his clothes, "You wouldn't understand." is all he says as he turns his back and starts walking away. I quickly grab his elbow tightly, like I'm clinging on for dear life, "Then help me understand..." He tries to snatch his elbow away but I hold on tightly and continue with tears in my eyes, "Wh-why...? D*mnit...why do you have to push everyone away from you..." This time when he snatches his arm away I let him walk away. Watching him as he walks off into the distance.

Later that night my father is arrested for disturbing society and multiple accounts of damage to property and bringing citizens in harms way. Luckily he hasn't killed anyone. I-I don't think he has anyway. I'm not sure, I don't really know who my father is anymore. I visit him ocassionally in prison but he refuses to even look me in the eyes. My father-a criminal behind bars. I never would've imagined it. He spent his whole life trying to keep up his reputation and within a single night, it all came crashing down.

I couldn't bear to stay home anymore, it reminded me of too much of what I lost-my mother and my father so the Auclairs allow me to live with them. One particular nigh, I visit him and he says something that catches my attention, "Son, I did all of this for you. I wanted you to be able to live a fullfilling life with your mother." Anger boils in me as I start yelling, "Yeah? And look what happened! I've lost both of my parents because you just couldn't except that she's gone!" I lower my voice and clench my fists looking towards the ground, "...it's not fair that you get to decide who gets to come back...look at (y/n), she lost her father, was heartbroken, still, she didn't try to look for a way to bring him back! Why? Because it's not fair. Everyone looses something, you just have to be willing to accept that...she cares for him but whats the point if she died before him or if he ended up sick and dying again...she'd have to deal with her consequences...because there is no coming back..."

I walk out of the room, refusing to meet his surprised stare. I lean against a nearby wall and sink to the floor, head in my hands. Just then I feel a tap on my shoulder and I see (y/n) holding a bouquet of flowers. She smiles sadly at me and extends them to me, "I figured you needed a pick me up. I thought you would be here." I smile lightly at her and she leans her head against my shoulder. I wrap my arm around her and kiss her forehead, pulling her in closer. Despite everything thats wrong, I know one thing, that this is right.

I recently started school so I won't have much time to write :( but my next project is a CielXReaderXSebatian so I hope you all will read it, in the future I will be publishing other stories but in the meantime, I would appreciate it if you would follow my account if you would like to read more stories.
