Beep. Beep.
Minjiu slowly blinked her eyes open and reached over to turn off her alarm. The sun lit up her room, casting shadows on the ground of random objects.
The time on her clock read 6:01AM- The time she usually got up for school.
Something had already felt off. It wasn't the fact that it wasn't raining in Seoul for once, but rather, she had a direct message on Instagram from an unknown person.
Death would look good on you. This is a sign, don't you think?
"What's the point of waking up to messages like this?" She said, clicking on the anonymous profile. The only part of the profile that was filled out was the Nickname section.
Kim Taehyung.
She sighed. Of course it was Taehyung.
"Minjiu! What are you doing still sitting there?"
"Ah, sorry. I was just about to get dressed."
"Well, hurry! I'm not driving you today. I have a meeting with one of my coworkers tonight, and you're coming with," Her mom replied, beginning to pick dirty laundry off of her floor.
"Okay, okay."
"I expect all A's at school, alright?"
Of course you do.

"Minjiu!"
"Jennie!" Minjiu ran to Jennie as she wrapped her in a big hug. They had been friends ever since 2nd grade.
"Did you hear about Yoongi? He got in a car accident and injured his shoulder. Funny, isn't it? " Jennie said, going to sit down at her desk."Hell yeah. I hope he doesn't recover soon. That's funny. " Minjiu sat at her desk and pulled out her textbooks for math since it was her first period.

"Finally, lunchtime. This day has felt like 24 hours already, " Minjiu said, pulling out her lunch box full of snacks.
"Are you doing anything after school? I was thinking about studying together if your free," Jennie asked, turning to Minjiu.
"I would, but my Mom is going to meet her coworkers family and I have to come with, " Minjiu sighed.
"Oh, do you know who the coworker is?"
"No. She never tells me anything about her work. Well actually she does, but I usually fall asleep before she finishes," Minjiu replied, rolling her eyes. Jennie laughed at her words.

"MOM, I'M HOME!" Minjiu yelled, setting her bookbag down at the entrance of her bedroom door.
"Get ready, we're leaving soon," Minjiu angrily murmured to herself as she walked over to her closet. She picked out a fancy looking shirt and a pair of jeans with her favorite sneakers that were covered in mud. She snickered.
She never said that I had to wear fancy shoes, did she?
She walked out into her living room. Her mom looked up and suddenly gasped in horror.
"What are you wearing? Look at the shoes, they're horrendous! " She screamed, setting her magazine on the floor. "Come here, your going to wear heels today. " Minjiu's life flashed before her eyes. At this point, she was already planning out her funeral. She sat on the couch as she continued to plan her funeral. Her mom walked out with tall red heels that look about the size of Minjiu's feet. Minjiu eyes widened in fear.
"You can't make me wear those. I'm going to die," Minjiu said, slowly trying to crawl up the couch.
"Put them on! If you don't, I'm going to hide all the snacks in the house." Minjiu grabbed the heels out of her mom's hands and slipped her sneakers off. She slowly crammed her foot inside of the shoe.
She had finally got both shoes on.
"Great. Now let's go. " Minjiu slowly stood up and grabbed her phone off the couch. The heels certainly felt like they were about to break. She took one step... Then another... And another... Before tripping over her mom's magazine on the floor.
"Minjiu- Get up from the floor! Stop playing and get in the car, " Her mom said, smacking her on the back of the head. Minjiu sighed a defeated sigh before getting up to get in the car.

"Be on your best behavior. This is important for the business, okay?" Minjiu shook her head yes as she got out of the car. The house was huge. It was one of those houses that you'd see pass out full-size candy bars on Halloween. She gasped before finally catching up with her mom.
"Minah! Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you made it!" The lady at the door said, wrapping her arms around Minjiu's mom. "Come in!" Minjiu and her mom slowly walked in. The inside was even more beautiful; hanging chandeliers, glass bowls with expensive-looking candy, heck- even the mom looked fancy.
"I see you have a daughter! Have you told her about Taehyung?" Minjiu whipped her head over at the woman.
"I haven't! I didn't realize you had a son. What grade is he in? "
"12th! Same as your daughter. " Minjiu took a deep breath.
It's not that Taehyung. No way. Absolutely, positively, not the one that left me a death wish this morning.
She took a deep breath of relief as she looked up. And standing in front of her was the man himself; Taehyung.
