"So tell me the story one more time."
"Okay... Well, Jennie was out at the park early in the morning. She told me that the reason she was at the park was because she just...needed to get some fresh air. But anyways, she told me that she tripped over a rock. She hit the side of her ribcage and called me. Once I came over, I checked her side, and surely enough, there was a bruise. Once I told her, I guess she passed out," Minjiu replied, sitting in a hospital chair.
But that obviously wasn't the real story. Minjiu remembered what Yoongi had said. She wasn't going to take any chances.
"I don't even care why she was out. I just hope that she's okay," Jennie's mom said, wiping the tears from her eyes. Minjiu's mom patted her on her back.A couple of hours went by before a doctor came out.
"Okay, Mrs. Kim. We checked for any broken ribs or bones, and we are happy to say there is none. " Jennie's mom sighed a sigh of relief. "However, the bruised area if very tender, so don't put pressure on it. If she says it's starting to hurt, maybe put some ice on it to relief the pain. She's awake and conscious now, so if all of you guys want to come in you can. Mom, if you want to take her home, she's ready. You guys have a great night." Minjiu immediately jumped up from her chair and ran into Jennie's room. Jennie sat there, smiling.
"Jennie... Oh my god, Jennie, I'm so sorry!" Minjiu wrapped her arms around Jennie. Jennie patted minjiu's arms.
"Like you told me, it's not your fault," Jennie whispered. Minjiu gasped, not realizing that Jennie remembered the whole situation. Once the adults came into her room, she fixed her face and took a step away from Jennie. At home, Minjiu went straight up to her room. To her surprise, she had 7 missed calls, 30 unread text messages, and 6 voice mails all from Taehyung. Confused, she went straight to his messages.
"Minjiu?
Hello?
Answer your phone.
Where are you at right now?
Hello??
What is this?
*1 voice attachment*"
Minjiu clicked on the voice attachment and listened to it.
"I love you Min Yoongi."
She gasped. That was all. She quickly called Taehyung, confused about how he had even got that.
"TAEHYUNG? Hello? Taehyung?"
"What the fuck did I just listen to in that recording? Who is Min Yoongi?"
"Listen, I can explain! I dated him back in middle school, but I broke up with him after a few months because-"
"Is something going on between you two?"
"No! No Taehyung, I swear! He told me to say that. I have proof!"
"It sounded real to me. Look, if you liked him, you could've just told me."
"Taehyung, I- You never listen to me. Why does this even matter anyways? You hate me. I'm done playing this game. I'm done always getting blamed. Goodbye."
"MINJIU WAIT-" Minjiu hung up the phone before Taehyung could say another word. Her eyes filled up with warm tears. At last, she burst into tears. All the stress, anger, and sadness was gone.
