That weekend, Minjiu's mom had planned to be out of town. Minjiu was already feeling better from her cold.
"Okay, hon, I am off. I'll be back Monday night. You can invite Jennie over, just don't make the house a mess. Love you, be good!" Minjiu hugged her mom one last time before she left the house. She sat on the couch in silence. She didn't really know what to do; it had been so long since she had been left home alone for more than a couple of hours. She grabbed her phone from upstairs and sent Jennie a message.
"Wanna hang out? My mom just left for her job thing or whatever lol."
"Heck yeah. Be there in a few minutes. 🤪" Minjiu laughed as she threw her phone on her bed. She grabbed her remote off her bed and turned it to a random TV channel. Surely enough, a couple of minutes later, Jennie arrived at Minjiu's house. Minjiu ran down stairs to let Jennie in. Before Minjiu could say anything, Jennie tackled her into a big hug.
"Yes, yes. I'm here you idiot."
"We haven't seen each other in forever!"
"It's literally been what, two or three days? I think you have separation anxiety," Minjiu replied, walking up the stairs to go to her room.
"So what are we gonna order tonight? Korean barbecue? Ugh, that sounds so good tonight."
"OH MY GOSH, YESSSS. Ugh, I'm already hungry and it's only eleven in the morning."
"Hey, I noticed you lost a lot of weight. Are you doing okay? I know that when your sick you lose weight, but that's a concerning amount," Jennie asked, noticing the sudden weight change in Minjiu.
"Oh, I've been keeping up the excercises Taehyung has been telling me to do. Some of it is also probably from stress and being sick, you know, stupid things like that. But I'm down to 150lbs now!" Jennie smiled.
"I'm so proud of you. Before you know it, you'll be fitting into my clothes-" All of a sudden, Minjiu heard a loud knock on the door from down stairs.
"Probably just my mom forgetting something. I'll go unlock the door. Come with me just in case." They both walked down the stairs. Jennie stood from a distance as Minjiu opened the door.
"Hey mom-"
It wasn't her mom. Instead, it was Taehyung. She quickly shut the door.
"Oh my god, who is it?" Jennie whispered.
"It's Taehyung, go hide!" Minjiu mouthed. Jennie got the message and quickly ran away. She waited until Jennie wasn't to be seen. She slowly cracked open the door to see if Taehyung was there. Surely enough, he still was.
"Hey, sorry for closing the door on you. I.. Didn't have a shirt on."
"Uh... It's fine. Are you doing anything today?"
"Well actually... I was planning on staying home all day... I didn't really wanna go anywhere." Minjiu opened up the door a little bit wider to let Taehyung inside.
"Oh... Well, want to do something here? My mom went on a business trip. I would guess that your mom did too." Minjiu stared blankly at Taehyung before finally responding to his question.
"Uh... Sure. We can can go upstairs. I need to get water first, but you can go ahead up there." Taehyung walked upstairs as Minjiu watched. Once she saw him leave, she quickly ran into the kitchen where she knew Jennie was hiding.
"Jennie?" Minjiu whisper-shouted. She heard a faint voice coming from one of the cabinets.
"I'm in here. The cabinet by the fridge." Minjiu quickly opened the cabinet to see Jennie cramped up in an obvious uncomfortable position.
"Taehyung wants to hang out. There wasn't a way around it, so I just let him in. Give it 20 minutes, then call me and say your 'coming over.' Then, we'll all just hangout, I guess. It'd be kind of rude to just kick him out. I'm sorry for keeping you in here, I really am."
"Girl, don't be sorry! I'll survive. Go on, he might expect something is wrong if your taking so long down here." Minjiu smiled and quietly closed the cabinet. She walked upstairs to see Taehyung sitting on her bed.
"Hey. Sorry about that, I haven't drunk water in what seems like forever," Minjiu said, sitting on the floor.
"Hey... You can sit up on the bed, you know that right? It's a queen size bed, it can hold 2 people." Minjiu hesitated before getting up from the floor and sitting on the bed. Taehyung scooted over to make more room on the bed. Minjiu settled in and pulled out her phone. Taehyung looked Minjiu up and down.
"What's wrong?" Minjiu said, looking at Taehyung.
"You've lost a lot of weight... Have you been eating?" Minjiu pulled up her shirt a tiny bit. It honestly did look like she had lost an alarming amount of weight.
"I've been eating... I've just been full, lately. Not only that, but I've been working out a lot. Oh, and I was sick. And stress, I guess. The list kind of goes on." Taehyung sighed.
"Please stop." Minjiu looked at Taehyung, obviously confused.
"What do you mean?"
"Look at yourself. Are you happy with your weight?" Minjiu looked down at her stomach.
"No. Not yet."
"What your goal?"
"I don't... 130, maybe..."
"Then do it right. Don't just not eat food. You also don't need to work out everyday. You're going to get really sick."
"I'm fine. Thanks, though." They sat in silence for a few minutes. Right as Minjiu opened her mouth to say something, she heard her phone ring.
"Hello?"
"Im outside your door. Let me in idiot."
"Oh, Jennie? Yeah sure, give me a second." She hung up and went down stairs to open the door. To her surprise, Jennie actually managed to get out of the cabinet and go outside to call Minjiu.
"Taehyung is upstairs," Minjiu said, winking to Jennie. They walked upstairs and into Minjiu's bedroom.
"Hey, Taehyung. Did I interrupt anything?"
"Nah, it's fine. But hey, since we're all here, wanna go to the mall?" Jennie looked over at Minjiu.
"Sure. I'll get dressed. Jennie, help me pick and outfit. Taehyung, we'll meet you outside." Taehyung left the room. Minjiu and Jennie both walked over to the closet.
"I got a lot of new clothes. My other ones obviously don't fit me much anymore." Jennie immediately grabbed a pink long sleeved shirt with a grey and pink plaid skirt.
"This is literally perfect. Wear those black boots right there, too." Minjiu slid her old clothes off and put the new ones on. "Oh my god, Minjiu, cute! Take a picture! You can post this on Instagram." Minjiu grabbed her phone from her bed. She opened her camera and took a few Instagram worthy photos."Minjiu, that one is perfect! Ugh, look at you. All grown up," Jennie said, wiping a fake tear away from her eye.
"Thanks. But we should probably go outside now or else Taehyung is going to leave without us." Jennie agreed as they both walked downstairs and out of Minjiu's house.
