"Uh... Taehyung? Can I have a few minutes alone with Minjiu?"
"Sure. I'll be upstairs." Taehyung got up from the couch and walked upstairs.
"Minjiu, what was that? What happened?"
"I don't know! He asked to kiss me but... In the moment it just sounded crazy."
"Well... Would you of done it again?"
"Look, I'm just confused. We're not even dating, so why did he want me to kiss him?"
"Well, there's a ninety-nine percent chance that he could like you." Minjiu stayed silent.
"He wouldn't like me. Besides, I don't think I'm mentally ready to get into a relationship right now, " Minjiu said, fixing her position on the couch.
"No, I totally understand. Health before relationships, always!" Minjiu smiled.
"Thanks Jennie."
"Hey, Minjiu, I have a question."
"Hm?"
"Now that Taehyung is gone, just tell me if he's a good kisser or not," Whispered Jennie.
"I don't mean this in a lovey-dovey way, but it was like playing 7 minutes in heaven... Expect instead of 7 minutes, it was 5 seconds," Minjiu whispered back.
Taehyung Focus
Taehyung sat in Minjiu's room in silence. His mind was going through one thing to the next.
Am I still insane?
Why did I tell her to kiss me?
I don't like her.
Does she not like me because of my past?
Taehyung sighed. He stayed silent until he finally heard the girls stop. He walked out of the room. Suddenly he heard Jennie's voice.
"Now that Taehyung is gone, just tell me if he's a good kisser or not."
"I don't mean this in a lovey-dovey way, but it was like playing 7 minutes in Heaven... Except instead of 7 minutes, it was 5 seconds." The girls whispers suddenly turned into laughter. Taehyung smiled before making his way back to Minjiu's room. 5 seconds in heaven, he thought to himself, what a way to put it.
Minjiu Focus
"Let's go upstairs now. I'm starting to get tired. What time is it?" Minjiu said, standing up in front of the couch.
"It is... Wow, only 8:21PM. That's pretty early. But we can still go upstairs cause I'm pretty tired to." Jennie fixed the pillows on the couch before running up the stairs to catch up with Minjiu.
"Hey, guys." Taehyung said, turning off his phone.
"Me and Minjiu get the big bed! Taehyung you get the floor," Jennie yelled as her and Minjiu jumped up in the bed and under the covers.
"Why me?"
"Remember how you kissed Minjiu without her consent today? Pretty illegal, don't you think?" Taehyung sighed before laying down on the ground. "Good night Minjiu!"
"Good night Jennie," Minjiu replied. It stayed silent for a second.
"And good night Taehyung." The only sound in the room was the sound of Minjiu's TV playing music. After not too long, everyone fell asleep."Minjiu?"
No response.
"Minjiu."
"Huh? Is it time to wake up already? " Minjiu asked, quickly sitting up.
"No, be quiet. It's only 1AM. Can we talk down stairs just for a few minutes? I'll make it fast."
"No, Taehyung. It's too early for this... " Minjiu began to lay back down when suddenly she was stopped due to Taehyungs hand. He lifted her back up into sitting position.
"5 minutes. It's all I need." Minjiu sighed before finally getting out of bed. They both walked downstairs and took a seat on the couch.
"What do you want?" Minjiu said, rubbing her eyes with her hands tiredly.
"Look, I don't think I ever got to apologize for kissing you this morning. So I'm really sorry about that. "
"You woke me up at one in the morning to tell me your sorry for kissing me? Taehyung, I'm so tired right now."
"I know, I know. But that's not it. I wanted to ask you... When do you think you'll be ready for a relationship?"
"A relationship? I don't know. I just want it to come naturally, you know? I don't want to force myself into it," Minjiu replied, looking up at Taehyung.
"Well... If you had the choice would you date-"
"AHAH." The lights in the living room suddenly turned on. Standing at the bottom of the stairs was a very tired looking Jennie.
"Oh... Jennie? Dang it, I forgot how much of a light sleeper you are. Sorry to wake you up."
"You!" Jennie pointed at Taehyung as she walked over to sit on the couch. "Minjiu, could you go upstairs? I want to talk to Taehyung for just a few minutes." Minjiu shrugged before getting up and walking upstairs. Jennie's eyes stayed on Taehyung.
"'When do you think' 'If you had the choice' Taehyung, talk to me. Do you like Minjiu? Nobody asks questions like these to each other on a daily basis."
"I... I don't know. I say one thing but my gut says the other. She clearly just wants to stay friends."
"Look, Taehyung. I'm not going to tell you everything that Minjiu said earlier, but I will tell you this. She told me that just wasn't mentally ready for a relationship. Whether that be because of stress or something else, now is not the time. She just said it herself. She doesn't want to be forced into anything. I've known her for more than ten years. She'll just end up getting mad and annoyed at you if you keep doing things like this. I understand your worried that one day she's going to go out and actually like someone. Let it come naturally, Taehyung. Maybe take her some where that she's wanted to go for a long time? You didn't hear it from me, but she's always wanted to go to that road-bridge thing downtown. Maybe take her there one day. That's all I can tell you." Taehyung sighed.
"Once again, thank you. I don't know what I was doing," Taehyung responded.
"Ok, well, I'm going upstairs. Peace out." Jennie got up from the couch and went back upstairs. Taehyung sat there. He sat there all night and didn't sleep."Minjiuuu~ Wake up, I'm hungry!" Jennie said, grabbing a hold of Minjiu's arm and shaking it.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm awake. What time is it?" Minjiu looked down at her clock. It was only 8:30AM.
"It's kind of early, I know. But I really wanted Starbucks!" Jennie said, dramatically pulling Minjiu into a hug.
"Okay, okay. We'll get Taehyung to drive us."
"Yay! I've waited so long for you to wake up."
"Hey, where's Taehyung?" Minjiu said, looking on the floor. She grabbed the remote and turned on the News so she'd fully wake up.
"Probably downstairs. I'll go check."
"Okay. I'm gonna get dressed." Jennie left the room. Minjiu walked over to her closet. She stood in front of it, looking at all of her clothes. She grabbed a pair of jeans.
"Hmm... Oh yeah! The shirt from yesterday." She ran over to her door and picked out the shirt. She quickly got changed. She sat on her bed fully dressed and listened to the TV.
"There was an accident on I-49. The person in the car is looking to be okay, but is suffering from fatal injuries."
"Hey, Minjiu. What's up?"
"Someone got into a car accident on I-49. Pretty sad."
"Awe, that sucks. Also, I never found Taehyung. Maybe he left already."
"Hmm... I'll text him." Minjiu sat back down on her bed and pulled out her phone.
"Oh... What is that? Kim Taehyung? Car accident? Okay. The driver of the car happens to be Kim Taehyung. He drives a black Range-Rover. The car is absolutely totaled."
Minjiu looked up at the TV screen. It showed a picture of the, surely enough, wrecked range-rover.
"Oh my god... " Jennie said.
"No... No, no, no. It can't be Taehyung. Let's go see if his car is in the driveway." Minjiu quickly ran downstairs, Jennie right behind her. Minjiu swung open the front door. She saw no cars in the driveway. She looked around, frantically trying to find Taehyungs car. She collapsed to her knees.
"Jennie... It's him." She bursted out into tears on the ground.
"Minjiu, we can go to the hospital. The one you took me to. It's okay, Minjiu, he is expected to be okay!" Jennie said, blinking back tears. Minjiu sobbed even harder. Jennie lifted Minjiu back to her feet. Without another word, Minjiu bolted down the road towards the hospital. Jennie followed.
