Andy's POV.
'I'm going to freeze to death' I thought to myself. My body shook without my permission. And my lungs tightened from the frosty air that entered them.
There wasn't much to see besides the ground and a very dim brick wall, it was pretty much pitch black. Where I was, or who took me was a mystery. I kept slowly slipping in and out of consciousness, waking up freezing then being out again.
In one of my conscious moments a door flies open, my eyes squinting trying to see who was standing in the bright light. Before I can even comprehend what's happening I'm bring dragged and dropped onto the floor of a...throne room?
"Prince Andrew." A low voice chimes from above. "Lovely to have you here."
"W-who are you." I croak out getting a good look at the man above.
He looks to be a royal, a crown sat on the top of a mess of black hair.
"Mikey Cobban, king of France." Mikey? That name it sounded familiar, but my mind was to hazy to think straight.
"What do you want from me?"
"Nothing with you particularly, it's what will follow." He smiles sitting up from his throne.
"I don't understand, you're a king. You can have almost anything..."
"You don't need to understand!" He snaps, my mouth shutting not want to say another word. His eyes close as he takes a deep breath. "How would you like to come out of the cold prison."
I raise my eyebrows not daring to say another word.
"The guards will help you settle in. And we will discuss what you will be doing at dinner."
What I will be doing? Before I can even think about asking what that means, I'm being dragged through the hallway. After I'm very aggressively placed on a bed, the guards leave me alone. The room was practically empty besides the bed and a dresser. There was a large window on the far left of the wall. And by the looks of it, we seemed to be on the second floor of this...castle?
After a minute of me being alone a few maids walked in. One short and petite the other tall and lanky.
"Prince Andrew." They bow "We're here to get you ready for dinner with the king."
"By any chance...do you two know why I'm here." I ask standing up.
"I'm sorry your majesty, but we were told not to say anything to you." The small one whispers.
"That's alright." I mumble letting them work on me. One handing me a new shirt. The other cleaning dirt off of me. They said nothing as they worked. Only giving me little glances every once in awhile.
"What is the king like?" I ask after a little while.
They both shoot each other looks.
"Cruel and unfair" The tall maid says under her breath.
"Madison!" The short one snaps.
"Well, I though he should know lily."
"He's been through a lot.." The one apparently named lily smiles. This sentence doesn't make me feel any better about this situation.
They make me look almost like myself after an hour of scrubbing and small talk.
"I don't know if i'm allowed to ask, but what is it like to be a royal." Lily smiles buttoning my shirt. "I used to dream of being a princess."
"It depends on who you ask. If you asked me I would say it's a blessing, but if you asked Ryan he would tell you it's a curse." My smile drops the second I mention his name. My brain suddenly remembering why I'm here. Thoughts asking if I'll ever leave, or if I'll even see him again.
"Who's Ryan?" Madison asks.
"Um, my fiancé." I mumble feeling tears welp up into my eyes.
"Oh!" Lily lights up. "You're engaged? What is he like. Is he nice?"
"Lily your should.." Madison starts but I interrupt.
"He's Amazing." I smile wiping a stray tear. "He makes me so happy. I just..."
"You just what?" Lily questions
"I just hope I'll get to see him again."
"Oh." They both send me apologetic looks. Probably forgetting the my situation. Then the door opens and a guard notifiesthem their time is up. They both bow leaving me alone again.
"Let's go." A guard commands
I follow him out the door and down two flights of stairs. There's a weird hallway full of windows, the sun is almost all the way behind the trees as we walk by. My thoughts slowly walk back to Ryan. Wondering what he's doing right now. Maybe looking at the sunset, trying to figure out where I am.? Eating dinner without me? Or maybe he completely forgot about me. Our last conversation wasn't very pleasant, so I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't want to come find me.
Out of the corner of my eye I see something move outside of the window. It's as if my mind was playing tricks on me, because could of swore It was blonde hair. I squint my eyes and take in a silent breath. The blonde haired boy is there standing in a bush trying not to be seen.
I open my mouth to say something and his hand shoots up. A finger across his lips shushing me from outside of the glass.
"Hey" the guard yells "Keep moving"
I start walking when he moved again trying desperately to look out the window. And just for a second I see what my heart so desperately wanted to see. The brown eyes that have become home every time I look at them. The eyes that I could stare into for hours, and still never get enough of. Ryan's face lights up mouthing my name before he's gone, covered by a wall to the connecting hallway.
He was here. He found me. I could barely breathe knowing I wouldn't be here forever. Knowing that he still wanted me after what I said to him. That he still cared.
"Andy. I'm delighted to have you." Mikey says from the end of a gigantic table. "Please have a seat."
I'm in such a happy haze that the guards have to forcefully sit me in a chair. Ryan being here to bring me home is the only thing on my mind.
"So, Andrew I will discuss the rules you are to follow if you will be living with me." He says taking a sip of his drink
This sentence snaps me out of my haze. "I don't want to live with you. I want to go home."
His face hardens "That is no way to talk to me, when I'm being nice enough to bring you out of that cold prison."
"You kidnapped me. You are not nice at all."
"You are mistaken Andrew, I can be way worse than I am." His eyes look into mine giving me an uneasy feeling. "So, I suggest that you cooper..."
"You're majesty. We're sorry to interrupt. But look what we found lurking in your garden."
"Oh, rye." I mumble. His hands are tied behind his back and three guards are desperately trying to hold him down. He stops thrashing when his eyes meet mine.
"Ahh see Andrew, I told you it was what followed that I wanted." King Mikey's voice hums from the other end of the table.
"Mikey, why are you doing this? Let us go." Ryan growls.
"Why would I do that?" He laughs. "We haven't even gotten to have a proper conversation yet."
"We have nothing to talk about." Rye snaps. And that's when it hits me. Why their conversation sounds like one between two people that know each other. This was the Mikey once told me about, the one that Rye...left heartbroken.
"That my friend is not true. Please sit, we were just about to have dinner."
