I could tell something was up. Lottie seemed quieter than usual, Jamie...I don't know. "Hey? Did you hear what I said?" I shook Lottie's arm gently. She flinched, shaking her head as if trying to dislodge her thoughts. "You ok Lottie?" I asked, concerned. "Fine." She gave me a quick smile, before continuing to eat her toast. She'd been distracted all morning. "Hey guys!" Lola, Mickey, Percy, Binah, Saskia and Ani came over. "Hey." I nodded to Saskia and Ani. "Mickey, Percy, why weren't you at my awesome party?" Saskia whined, taking a sip from Anastacia's coffee. Anastacia smacked her arm playfully. "We were...busy." Mickey shrugged shyly, looking at his boyfriend. Percy smiled. "Ok...well...it was great! We played Seven Minutes in Heaven. Right Lottie?" I nudged Lottie who looked at Jamie. Yep, something is definitely going on.
My first class was history, which I took with Jamie. Normally, he got super annoyed when I tried to copy from him, but today, he seemed distant. "So...what was question three?" I asked. He ignored me. "JAMIE?" I whisper-screamed. "I don't know. Ask Chantel." He muttered. I was taken aback. Jamie knows I hate Chantel and now he was suggesting I ask her for help? He was definitely off.
"So how was your day?" I asked Lottie as we were getting ready for bed. "Good." She smiled. "Are you sure you're ok? You seem...off." I looked at her face in the mirror as we brushed our teeth. "I'm fine." She insisted, but she didn't meet my eyes. Lottie never lied to me...so why was she acting like this?
