I watched Lottie and Ellie leave and decided to wait for them in the library. It was empty. I took a seat by the window looking out on the woods. I pulled out my book and started reading. Suddenly, the door opened. Footsteps. "Yes. I think the princess knows." Haru. I knew his voice anywhere. I stood, putting my book back into my bag. I was about to go over to where he was standing, his back to me, when the next words out of his mouth stopped me. "Yes. I will get you Princess Lottie by the end of the week. I know she's on to me, but I have to risk it. Ingrid tried and failed and now, it's my turn!" He walked back out the door. My blood ran cold. Ingrid? Lottie? What was going on?
