The sun pours into the room, interrupting my sleep. I groan and roll onto my other side, only to meet a pair of golden orbs staring directly into my silver ones.
"Stop staring it's creepy," I mumble, eyes partially closed cozied up under the covers.
"I'm not staring, I'm, admiring." His morning voice is a lot deeper and raspier than his usual voice.
"What time is it?" I groan
"A little after noon." He mumbles getting closer to me. I hold the blanket tight over me so that he can't pry it off.
"That's nice. I'm going back to sleep." As I start to drift off, a pair of footsteps trying to silently make their way into the room gets my attention.
"Illumi, get out." I bark.
"You let Hisoka stay but I have to go? That's unfair don't you think?"
"Whenever you walk into my room it's either an assignment run-through, you're here to bark orders at me or scold me for a messy job on my last assignment. "
"You forget who spends nights with you when you can't fall asleep." He did not just sell me out like that.
"What do you want brother dearest?" I unwillingly unwrap myself from the comfy embrace of the blanket to talk to a white wall of a person.
"Get dressed, you need an appropriate gown for tonight. You could also use a spa treatment." He sits next to my stuffed teddies eyeing them suspiciously as if they're going to attack him.
"That's it! I'm going back to bed." I throw the blanket over me and try to ignore the tall long hair meanie.
"Hisoka you should probably get a tuxedo as well. Since you will be joining us." Wait, what?
"Why is the clown going on a mission with us?" I groan from under the covers.
"Magician." He chirps in
"Whatever." I groan more.
"His skills may be useful tonight so he's coming whether you approve or not." Stupid Illumi. Dumbass clown.
I feel myself being yanked out of bed. my butt hits the floor with a thud. I look up to meet the emotionless white wall staring down at me.
"You're dead." I laugh evilly
"Maybe another day, now hurry up and get changed." He walks out of the room without a care in the world. He's a real pain in the ass sometimes.
One shower later, I throw on some black jeans, a black graphic t-shirt, and some high-top sneakers. I throw my hair in a high ponytail and add my usual black choker to finish the look. Hisoka comes out wearing his usual outfit but without the makeup.
We all leave the penthouse and make our way to town for some breakfast before walking to over 15 stores. Illumi picked out a black high neck lace mermaid dress with capped sleeves, a diamond cutout at the chest, and a front split.
The bottom of the dress is flared lace and has a fuzzy trim at the end. Pair that with some black heels, a pair of chopstick-looking hairpins that double as knives, and some earrings, and call that an outfit. Shopping for the boys was easy. They went into one store and got what they needed. Totally not envious or anything.
We get back to the penthouse I immediately crash onto the sofa. Man, I'm exhausted. I don't know if all my energy is even back yet. Hopefully, it restores enough where I can complete tonight's mission with ease. Speaking of
"What exactly is the mission?" I groan with my face in the couch.
"Family involved in illegal trades and operations, take out the one responsible and leave." Fair enough.
