"Doctor?" I asked suddenly. He looked up from the console at me.

"Yes?" he asked.

"I was wondering," I trailed a finger along the edge of the console. "If you could take me back to when my mother was alive," I swallowed and looked at him. He had paused on the console looking at me, as if he was remembering something.

"It's fine," I added hastily. "I actually know a lot about the rules of time and I-"

"No," the Doctor assured me. "It's alright," he smiled. "I can take you to when she still existed," he clicked a few buttons and we started to take off. I grin at him.

"Thank you," I say.

"What's happening?" Amy barged down the steps dressed in a red skirt, tight black leggings, black high tops, and a leather jacket. I had changed into a blue t-shirt, a jumper/sweatshirt tied around my waist, blue skinny jeans and brown hiking boots. I had my hair up in a messy bun, strings of brown hair raining down on my face.

"Nothing," I said. "Just got the Doctor to get me to see my mom," I added. Amy stared at the Doctor.

"Were you going to leave me?" she asked. The Doctor stared at her.

"No," he said. "No, no,-"

"Good," Amy yawned. "I'm going to take a nap before we head to Churchill," she waved a hand and walked back where she came from. I looked over at the Doctor, who had a slightly surprised and confused look.

"Huh," he said, scratching his head. Shrugging, he clicked a few buttons and we were suddenly thrown off our feet. I flew back into the railing, crashing into it.

"Argh!" I yelped, rubbing my head.

"Oh!" The Doctor stands, jumping to his feet. He frowned. "That's odd," he clicked a few more buttons as I stood. But suddenly, the TARDIS reacted the same way, throwing me off my feet again. This time, when the Doctor tried again, I stayed on the ground, only to be thrown in the air. There was a shriek from where Amy had come from. I looked around, realizing the TARDIS was upside down. I looked over at the Doctor who was staring up at the console.

"I can't reach anything," he noted, stretching his hand, reaching for the console.

"Everything is upside down!" Amy shrieked, coming in from the doorway, her hair in her face. A strangled look was screwed onto her face. I watched the two argue and I walked over to he door. I swung it open and stepped over the ridge and looked around.

"I don't know how this happened!" The Doctor was saying.

"You were just going to see Thalia's mother, you don't have to turn the whole TARDIS upside down for her!" Amy yelled.

"It's my house!" I cry happily. They rounded on me. The Doctor's eyes widened as I stepped outside.

"No-Thalia! Stay inside!" He yelled, but I had already stepped out, and the doors swung shut behind me. I looked at the TARDIS and laughed. It was completely upside down.

"Goodnight mommy, see you tomorrow!" A voice said. I whirled around and saw my babysitter/nanny, holding little 7-year-old me. I was waving to my mom who was heading out to the road. She worked just across the street at the quilt shop. She waved back to younger me and then, to my surprise, looked over at me.

Her features were blurred, but I didn't care. I never really knew her full face and features, but I knew she had chocolate brown eyes, and bushy brown hair. She had a adventurous fashion sense, sometimes wearing dresses, sometimes wearing something that she might wear to the jungle. But I loved her nonetheless. As she looked at me, she smiled sadly, walking across the road. I faintly remembered this. Why...?

And then it happened.

Half-way across the road, my mom was hit by a car. Her body hit the ground and for some reason, did this weird blue zig-zag thing and she disappeared.

"NO!" I clapped a hand over my mouth as seven-year-old me began to scream herself. I hardly noticed my nan look around, surprised to hear someone else. I stumbled back, hand still over my mouth and slide down the side of the TARDIS.

The TARDIS made this weird hooting sound, as if it were sad for me.

I started to cry.

I watched my nan bring my younger self inside, and probably to call the police. A slightly younger Amy ran over to the house and it occurred to me, that my nan had called Amy and then the police. Amy was in her nightie as she ran inside. I felt more tears spring from my eyes. That was also the night that I was handed over to Amy.

She didn't have to win me in court or anything. My mom had already signed a contract that if anything had happened to her, I would go to Amy.

I stood and ran back inside. The TARDIS was still upside down and Amy and the Doctor were still arguing. I slide down the doors of the TARDIS, glad that she had closed her doors for me. I watched them argue for a minute before suddenly getting up, walking over to a place where I would be above the console, jumped, pulled a lever, and the TARDIS flipped itself, turning back to right-side up.

Amy and the Doctor stood, as they were thrown to the ground.

"Well," Amy said haughtily. "That wasn't so hard, was it?"

"I didn't do that!" the Doctor said defensively.

"It was me," I said solemnly. I looked at them, my eyes were probably red. They were looking back at me, Amy concerned and the Doctor surprised and concerned.

"How did you do that?" He asked. I sighed.

"I jumped and clicked a button," I said blandly.

"What's out there?" The Doctor nodded to the door. I looked at the doors.

"My house," I replied, my eyes unblinking, and a robotic tint to my voice.

"Yes, but what day?" The Doctor insisted.

"Can you find my mother?" I asked instead of answering. He frowned.

"I can look her up," he said. "What's her name?"

"Melody," I said, swallowing hard. "Melody Song," the Doctor frowned, but looked her up on the TARDIS' monitor.

"Doesn't exist," he announced after a bit. Amy stared at the Doctor.

"No, she exists," Amy said as I paled. The Doctor frowned.

"To the TARDIS she-" he broke off, eyes widening. "Oh my," he looked at me, back at the screen, at me, and then at the screen.

"What?" I demanded. The Doctor took in a breath.

"Melody Song," he repeated. He chewed his bottom lip. "I think I know her," he looked over at me.

"How?" I asked curiously. He ducked away and started to click buttons.

"Never mind How," he said. "Let's go to Churchill," he pressed another button and we were off. I didn't like the way the Doctor looked at me, the way his face went as if he realized who she was. But I forgot all about it when we walked outside the TARDIS, only to have guns pointed at our faces.
