Ara's POV
I had just settled in Korea about a month ago. I moved here to study medicine here in a full ride scholarship. I was more than blessed but the scholarships covers all tuitions cost for my 2 years here, I still need to get a job to have money for myself and pay rent and food.
I was currently dressing myself into my business clothing. One thing I absolutely live for is fashion, I do love clothes. It's my wha of expressing myself and I do own my fair share of amounts of clothes.
I have a job fair in a hour, that I was invited too thanks to my advisor from the university who knew someone inside the job fair committee.
I checked myself quickly in the mirror and made sure I was presentable and grabbed my bag and folder with copies of resumes.
"Alright...lets go" I tried pumping myself up before leaving.[So you do speak korean, sometimes you mispronounce a lot, and can be informal]
I took the train and arrived within 15 minutes. The job fair began and there was plenty of people but it was true that only invited people were allowed to attend. I had to present my ID at the front with my invite. I quickly walked into the huge building...so fancy if you ask me.
"Alright let's do this Ara" I told myself and took a few breaths of confidence and walked into the convention room. It's been about a hour of me talking and doing interviews. I looked around at more stands and booths. I saw one that rarely had any people. I began making my way.
"Wouldn't recommend it they keep turning everyone away" I heard behind me and I turned to see a man.
I raised a brow.
"Is that so?"
"I've been watching them send people away hour after hour" He said and put his hands in his pockets.
"Well...I didn't come here for nothing" I sighed and bowed to the man before heading over to the stand.
'Turning away everyone? Then I have to make an impression'I arrived at the booth of casually dressed people which threw me off. It was two men. They looked at me up and down.
"Qualifications?" A man spoke clearly uninterested. Irritating if I say so.
"Tell me what area were talking about and then I'll tell you my qualifications within the area" I said and sat down in the chair infront of them. This got their attentions somewhat.
"Name?"
"Ara...Ara Rosas" I said getting two copies of my resume and sliding it over to them.
"Rosas?"
"Yes, Rosas I am not korean I am a foreigner if that's what you're curious about, so now you know one of my qualifications I am multilingual" I closed my folder and looked up at them and one man began writing discreetly.
"What do you know about the entertainment business"
"It's entertainment for a reason it's all over the news I'm up to date with everything, you're going to have to get specific with me if you want to see how qualified I am" I leaned on the table a little bit.
The men shared a look and proceeded to ask way.
"K-pop, Idols what and how could your qualifications fit in this business"
They asked as they scanned my resume flipping through my pages."Well I am very familiar in the k-pop field it's been growing vastly these past few years and has been evolving. Fashion is changing, shows are changing in regard to interviews, groups are making music that's much more ear catching and more might I say mature aside from the whole 'cute' concept. I am a very strong attitude person as you can see so depending on what role you're looking to be filled, I can answer your questions"
One man brought out a binder and clocked his pen that made me give a small smile.
"P.A we're looking for a Personal Assistant, but not just a regular personal assistant, we need someone who can literally dedicate their time and be highly focused"
I nodded at him.
"I see a P.A well for starters nobody goes to college studying how to be a P.A so that's where I can assure you that my fast learning skills come in. I can adapt well and I can learn things very quickly. I am strongly confident in my skills. Responsibility, Organization, Multilingual, Multi-tasking and the list keeps going and if I am so missing a required skill just tell me and I'll get it down" I interlocked my fingers in front of me.They both nodded and kept looking into the binder they had.
"Do you hold any certifications?"
I nodded.
"If you turn to page 3 of my resumes you can see I am CPR certified and I am a certified nurse aide, I am a RN (registered nurse) medical student" I informed them and they nodded once more.
"If you were asked to relocate within Korea would you?"
I nodded
"Would you travel"
I nodded
"Would you switch to online classes since you mentioned you're a student, were looking for a person who can dedicate their time"
I stopped for a moment.
"I would Im studying my last two years here I already have completed my clinical hours so yes"
They both nodded and closed the binder.
"you have strong attitude I like it, you made your impression on us and we think you would be a great fit for the job...if you're willing to accept"
The man finally smiled and held out his hand to me. Like he was acting the whole time!
"Yes!" I smiled and shook his hand.
"Amazing! We've spent months looking and going through people and people" He laughed and stood up.
"Would you be willing to accompany us to our building, we would like to discuss contracts and speak with our CEO" the man stood up.
I was now feeling nervousness within me. Company? CEO? Contract? just who the hell did I think I was agreeing without asking the most BASIC questions.
"Also call me Sejin and this my co worker Min-Woo" He gave a kind smile and o bowed to both.
"Please call me Ara it's a pleasure to start working with you" I bowed once more and smiled.
'Just what did I get myself into'
