"Good afternoon world! I am John Park and this is 'Good Day World News'. Today is September 2, 2145, and this marks the two hundred year anniversary of the end of World War II. One hundred years ago, every country held a ceremony in memory of this very awful war. And now two hundred years after that war, the world will still remember it. Let's check on William Dannel in London for more details of the two hundred year anniversary in Europe."
"Thank you, John. I am here at London about to witness the opening of the ceremony. This city has experienced much trouble during that war. Today the British government will turn off all street lights and light up a huge light beam coming from their Parliament building. One hundred years ago, they also lighted the same beam for this war's centennial anniversary.
"One hour ago, the city of Paris had already commemorated the war; and I must say that it was a beautiful sight! The government of France also did turn off the street lights of Paris. One of their famous landmarks The Arc de Triumph was lighted very bright, and the Eiffel Tower was lighted bright too! Everyone in Paris was silent for a whole two minutes. I don't think I can not stay quiet for that long!
"Two hours ago, the city of Berlin commemorated the war; and it was a moment you will always remember! Before I say something else about Berlin I must tell you that all major cities of each country in respect turned off their street lights. The government placed smaller light beams where the Berlin Wall has once separated the city into West and East Berlin. I was very silent when I saw each beam light up. Many other European cities did something special today for this anniversary. Thank you, John. Back to you""Thank you, William. We are now going to Sarah Harper in Tokyo for details of the anniversary in Asia."
"Thank you, John. I am here at Tokyo; and at 7:00 P.M. their time, they commemorated the war. There were beams of light located at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I could see the lights even from my hotel room!
"In the Philippines, there were lights in the water! These lights were located in the area where the Battle of Leyte Gulf was held. This is the country where Douglas MacArthur said,'I shall return'. It's really late in here John. I guess I should sleep now! Back to you.""Thank you, Sarah. We will be right back after the commercial break. Next, we will talk about. . . wait what was that again? Ladies and Gentlemen, we have breaking news. The Prime Minister of Great Britain was just assassinated while going up to the stage!"
