"I'm not hungry." valeria pushed the plate of waffles away that oscar prepared for her. she didn't have the energy to do anything lately, she even skipped the school dance after hearing from Alexis about the two idiots who pulled their guns out resulting in the dance being cancelled at the school and relocated to Monse's house. There was no way she was gonna see them, the only person she really talked to was Jamal, Alexis & Jasmine but of coarse that didn't stop Ruby and Monse from contacting her every hour of the day.
"You gotta eat something Chiquita." Oscar sighed rubbing his temples he was grateful that valeria was slowly forgiving him and Cesar but man could she hold a grudge.
"I'll just eat something later at school. I gotta go I'm gonna be late." She said grabbing her backpack off the floor then headed out the door.
"My god, you look like shit."
val let a smile grace her face walking out to see Alexis. The two girls have gotten incredibly close since valeria cut off half of her friend crew which gave her the chance to interact with more people, in this case being alexis and her group of friends.
"Fuck you." she said flipping her off.
"Nah, you're not my type." she teased.
val let out a laugh and playfully push her shoulder. "You're so full of shit I could have you if I wanted you." Valeria said flipping her hair over her shoulder confidently.
alexis stopped walking causing val to raise an eyebrow and look back at her, wondering why she stopped.

"I can't believe people still wear their costumes to school." the brunette critiqued adjusting the safety goggles on her head watching val reluctantly pick up a scalpel to dissect the frog put in front of her.
"This is so fucking unethical on so many levels."
Alexis sighed switching places with her to do the action instead, val cringed and turned her head away in disgust. Looking to her right she witnessed Jamal dissecting what appeared to be, a chocolate bar.
Jamal Turner. Jamal Turner. Please report to the office.
"Ay, who's picking you up?"
"I'm not sure but are you still gonna join us tonight, we've never missed out on a Halloween together." Jamal said a frown taking over his face.
"I don't wanna be around them yet."
"Oh come on val," he pleaded. "Just think about it and Alexis can come too if you want." He said waiting for some sort of confirmation which he received when val nodded her head, Jamal sent a smile her way before heading off to the office.
