"you're so stupid." valeria held her stomach, her laugh reverberated through the facetime call.
"you laugh like a damn hyena."
valeria straightened up and playfully glared at her boyfriend through the screen, "shut up bruh. your one to talk."
"you know i'm perfect stop playin'."
valeria rolled her eyes and opened her mouth to rebuttal but stopped when she heard her name being called out from the kitchen.
"you gotta go?" he asked.
valeria awed at the disappointment on his face. "yeah, i gotta eat dinner. i'll see you tomorrow bebe i love you."
"i love you too."
valeria smiled and made him kiss her through the phone before they hung up.
before she walked out of her room valeria looked at herself in the mirror. she hadn't changed a lot over the years as she kept her hair the same length, dying it once every few weeks when she grew tired of her appearance, the only difference now was that she was covered in tattoos.
walking out her room, she greeted her brother and isabel before walking to the dinner table. "why is there an extra plate? who's coming?" she asked looking at oscar who turned to look at isabel.
"...i- uhm invited your brother over." she said with a nervous smile on her face.
"my brother is sitting right there."
oscar frowned, "val-"
"no. that kid isn't my brother, alright? so don't call him that and if you invited him to ask what i think you're going to ask then-"
