Why does the earth
Continue to revolve
While people
Starve
Bleed
Cry
Why

Why must the homeless beg on the streets
While rich people in fancy cars
Don't care
Watch
Stand by
Why

Why must families be torn apart
Leaving sobbing children
Distant teens
And parents struggling
To fix what is broken
They labor
They work
They try
Why

Then a voice from above says
I know why
The people of the world
They are hurting
The people on the streets
They are shivering
The families torn apart
They are broken
But I can save them all

Their hurting will turn to
Comfort
Their shivering will turn to
Warmth
Their brokenness will turn to
Hope
Stay strong in your faith
The voice said
For I am coming soon
Your questions will turn to
Answers
And you will no longer ask
Why
