You're An Idiot Pt. 2(Cherik)

Charles's POV

"ERIK!" I scream.

I jump into the river, and swim towards the splash.

I hold my breath and dive down, searching for my best friend.

Finally, I wrap my arms around his lifeless body and drag him towards the bank. I manage to get him onto the riverside.

"Erik. Please, no you can't be dead. You can't be dead." I beg. I breathe air into his lungs and try to get the water out of his lungs. "Erik, please. Don't be dead. You can't be dead. I need you alive. You have to keep me company after Raven moves out. We still have to travel the world. Remember, Erik? We were going to see the world together. It would have been just you and me. Together. I can't do this without you, Erik. I can't..." I trail off, tears running down my face.

Erik coughs, once, twice, expelling the water from his lungs.

"Erik!" I cry, wiping the tears from my face.

"What?" Erik croaks. "You thought a fall like that would kill me?" I smile, tears falling down my face. "Oh, liebling, I wouldn't leave you alone." Erik reaches up and brushes the tears off my face.

"Can you stand?" I ask, breaking the moment. Erik nods and shakily pushes himself off the ground. Together we walk back to the Xavier Manor.

TIME SKIPPPP---3 MONTHS LATER

"Charles, c'mon," Erik whines. "Let's go down to the river."

"Erik, I can't. I can't go back there." I shake my head and turn my head back towards my book.

Erik stands in the doorway, arms folded over his chest, leaning against the doorpost. He pushes himself off and sits in the chair in front of me.

"What's wrong, liebling? I've barely seen you since I fell over the river." Erik asks.

"I just...you were close to death. You almost died. I could've lost you and I can't handle that. And I should have stopped you from going up the tree." I cry, shutting my book and looking at Erik. He stares back, hurt swimming in his multicolored eyes.

"You wouldn't have lost me, liebling-"

"But I almost did, Erik! And it breaks me to think that I would have had to live the rest of my life without you! And then whenever you came over, I could see your lifeless body, and I just... I couldn't." I tell him, tears falling down my face.

And I can't help but think... if I had lost him, he wouldn't have known, wouldn't have known, how I feel about him.

"Charles?" Erik asks, and I lean forward and press my lips to his.

And it was perfect. Our lips fitted perfectly against each other.

I close my eyes, and for a few moments, I forget what happened at the river. I forget the rules, the expectation that our parents have for us, and for a few moments, it's total bliss.

AND BOOM!!!
