"Okay, so the class is over for today but be ready for your test on Monday," Dr Ahuja said as she took all her belongings.
Everybody started talking as there was time for the next lecturer to come.
"Hey, have you seen professor Parth today," a girl said imaging him in her mind.
"Ya, that blue shirt completely suits him," another one replied.
"Class," their CR called them.
"Actually, I just got a mail from Dr Sinha that she won't be taking this lecture" before she could continue some students started to go outside but came when they saw someone coming and got back to their seats.
"But professor Shekhawat will be taking this lecture to discuss his coming assignment."
Professor Shekhawat entered the class as she told everyone about him.
All the students stopped talking and listened to what he was saying.
Professor Shekhawat is not old like other professors in their department. He is in the late '20s but the way he has maintained himself anyone can get confused with him being a college student due to which he is a lot more famous in girls.
"So, class today we will be discussing gender and its impact on education....."
"Sanyu, isn't he handsome?" one of her friends said.
"We are not here to discuss whether he is handsome or not. We are here to study," she replied as she wrote what he was saying.
"Miss Aggarwal tell what I just said."
"Sir, you just told us about the figures of girls drop out of school in secondary classes.  As the recent Annual Survey of Education Report (Aser) 2017 findings suggest, while on average the difference between enrolment levels of boys and girls at age 14 are declining, by 18, when the state doesn't enforce compulsory education through the RTE Act, 32% girls are not enrolled—compared to 28% boys. Bridging mechanisms for out-of-school children exist at the elementary stage but are absent for secondary education."
"Good, Miss Aggarwal."
"Okay, let's proceed."
He continued the lecture.
The lecture ends and students started going out as it was now lunchtime.
"Miss Aggarwal," professor Shekhawat called.
"Yes, sir" she came near the lecturer podium.
"Miss Aggarwal, these are your class previous assignments which I have graded and I have emailed the grades but this is a hard copy. Distribute them and if anyone has any doubts they can meet me after 3 pm."
She nodded and took all the papers and went to her friends who were waiting for her.
"Lucky girl," Mishti said.
"Huh...Lucky girl??" she questioned.
"Shekhawat sir knows your name when he says he is bad at remembering names," shanaya answered.
"You all dumb people. I am CR from our class and I meet him at least two times a day for the meetings or other work. He has my email id to contact. Isn't it natural that he remembers my name that to last name not first."
"Whatever", Mishti and Shanaya started eating their food.
Snayu was eating her food when her mom called.
" Hey, Ma"
"Hello, beta come home early today."
"Everything ok Ma"
"Yes, everything ok. It's just that one of your father's friend has a party today and we will be going there."
"Ma, tell me the truth. It's set up right?"
"No, it is not."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I am."
"Okay will be home at 5."
"So a new date?," Shanaya asked.
"No, it is not. And also why do you have an interest in my life. Where is your boyfriend Sahil?"
" He has a football match today."
"Then what are you doing here today? Why are you not there to support him?" Sanyukta asked as she ate her food.
"You know I am not a big fan of football and he himself said that it is a practice match so no need to come," Shanaya replied as she stopped Misthi from eating her pastry.
"Ouchh!"
The bell rang indicating that lunch finished.
All of them ran fast to grab their seats as if they are late then Professor Gupta will not allow them in class.
"We reached," Mishti said as she put her bag on another seat.
The day went and now it was 3 pm. Sanyukta distributed the papers and told them to meet Shekhawat sir if they have any doubt about marking.
Well, nobody doubts Shekhawat Sir's marking other then flirty Vandy aka Vandana Chadda. She only needs a reason to flirt but is normally rejected by Professor Shekhawat but she is always ready for next time. She goes to his room while Sanyukta also goes to his room for the evening meeting.
CR (Class Representative) of other classes were also there. But they let Vandy go first as per his orders.
"Sir, I didn't understand how you marked this 5th question?"
"Miss Chadda, marking scheme was clearly told in the class and your paper was not according to that so your marks are deducted. And if you have finished then you can go," he said as he closed his diary and called the first year CRs.
"So you all know the purpose of this meeting. After three weeks it is the farewell party of your seniors. And this time I am in charge of the preparations and because I teach some of you, you might know that I don't like mistakes. So, on Monday we will discuss the ideas and if someone has any suggestion now then they can tell. Otherwise meeting dismissed."
Everyone came out.
"It's hard to breathe in there. How will we tolerate him for three weeks?" some other student questioned while Sanyukta came to class to informed everybody.
"Class, as this year we will be organising the farewell for seniors. So Shekhawat sir has asked for suggestions till Monday and because you all know what a perfectionist he is I would like to have all the ideas till Sunday evening. No suggestion after that will be accepted."
The college got over so everyone went to their way.
"Sanyu, what about a prom party?" one of her classmates asked.
"Idea is good but not new. Let's think of something new," she told her as she packed her bag.
She has to go early today.
                                                                ...............................
"Sanyu, wear this pink saree. This will look good on you," her mother said as she came out of the washroom.
"Okay, you go I will be down in 15 minutes," she told her mother who seemed to be very excited for the party.
She got ready in pink saree with golden jumkhi. A few golden bangles on her right hand and a watch on other. Her favourite platinum ring completed the look. She had her hairs curled and applied minimal makeup.
                                                                     .............................
"My daughter looks like an angel," her mother said as she put Nazar ka teeka behind her ears.
"Oh, Ma, Aren't we getting late now," she said as she moved towards the car.
"Pa, I am driving today," she said taking the car keys from her father.
"Okay," all of them sat in the car and started their journey.
"Where are we going?" she asked as she set the google map for directions.
"Green Petals," her father responded.
"Ok".
                                                                    ................................
"Pa it's beautiful. We should come here often," she said as she entered the restaurant.
"We will," her parents said together.
"So where are your friends?" she asked her father.
"Top floor," he said as they took the lift.
"Nobody is here. Are you sure this is the right floor?" she questioned seeing no one there except some people who were setting a table.
"Ya, let's wait for them," her mother took her hand and went to sit.
                                                              ....................................
"Renuka Ji, this is our daughter Sanyukta Aggarwal," her mother introduced her to a couple whom she has never met.
She greeted them and sat back.
"Mom, it's a setup. You should not have lied to me," she whispered in her mother's ear.
"Yes, it is. But if I had told you then you would not have come here," her mother Janki replied smiling to Renuka and Harsh.
"So, where is Randhir?" her father asked.
"He is late due to some meeting. Will be here in 10 minutes," Harsh replied as he looked at his watch.
All of them got busy talking while Sanyukta suddenly found her ring to be amusing due to which she missed someone entering the hall.
"Hey, Mom," he said kissing his mother and then greeted Sanyukta's parents.
"This voice is familiar," she thought and found him sitting in front of her.
