"Any idea?" Randhir, I mean Professor Shekhawat asked as he stood near the table wearing a black shirt which made him look no less than a Greek god for the meeting regarding upcoming farewell.

The ideas presented were prom night, the 80s or 90s Bollywood theme party, etc. And his face clearly showed that he didn't like any of the ideas.

"Miss Aggarwal, you want to suggest something?" he asked when I raised my hand.

"Sir, why don't we ask them?" I suggested but looking at the confused faces around me only suggested that no one understood a word.

"Actually, I am suggesting to ask our seniors about the kind of farewell they want. It will give us the idea and will also be according to them."

"Yes we can take their inputs too..........Go and ask your seniors what they want and let's meet in the evening meeting to decide the theme for the party," he said dismissing everyone.

I also started to go out when he called, "Miss Aggarwal, wait".

I waited as everyone goes out. He sat on his chair while gestured me to sit on the chair opposite to him.

"What you said, yesterday?" he said paying all the attention towards me.

"When sir?" I tried to remember what he was talking about.

"What you said when your sister took you for the dance?"
"I asked if we are on the same page about the wedding?"
He didn't answer for a minute. So I spoke again.

"Even if you knew we were getting hitched still it was your parent's idea. So, I am not the only one who doesn't want this marriage," I said in a breath because every time I see him I forget to breathe.

"Hmm," came his quick answer.

We sat quietly for a few moments when he walked closer to me, held my hands and looking in my eyes he said, "I want to give this a chance, us a chance."
I tried to register his words but was I ready to give us a chance?

"Sanyukta, stop," he tried to stop when he saw me running from the room as if I saw the ghost. Thank God the corridor was empty as the lecture started.

            .............................................

"Who is the lucky guy?" Shanaya asks looking at the ring in my hand which I forgot to remove because I was way to busy in his thoughts.

"Good Morning class, and sorry for being late," he said smiling which made the class bewildered because Professor Shekhawat never smiles. Smile and Shekhawat never come in a sentence together.

"Okay, so we will be continuing the topic we left in last class," he said eyeing me which I ignored.

"Sanyukta, sir is looking at you. What have you done to make him upset?" she whispered.

"Nothing," I said trying to concentrate on the topic but how can I concentrate when he was standing there with questioning eyes asking me about my behaviour earlier.

For the whole lecture, I tried my best to not look at him and kept taking the notes.
"Miss Aggarwal, wait after the class. I need to discuss something," he said irritated by my behaviour.
"Sir we have our next class here. So I will meet you in the evening meeting," I tried to reason while everyone looked at me in surprise because for the first time someone said something against his wish.
He left the class angrily.

"What was that?" Mishti asked about my behaviour earlier.
"Nothing, he is becoming more arrogant and stubborn day by day. He needs to understand that everything will not be according to him," I sighed as I completed.
"Are you alright Sanyukta?" they questioned together.
"Of course," I answered as Dr Sinha entered the class.
The class went in a jiffy.
                  …...….....…………......
"So, Masquerade Prom is the theme," he said as he dismissed the meeting. But this time he didn't ask me to wait.
Are we over?
Is this the end of our relationship?
Is this the end of us?
The questions ran in my mind making me feel dizzy.
"Sanyu, why are you sad? This was what you wanted. You never wanted this relationship and now it will be over," I tried to reason because even if everything is as per my wish still I could not feel the contentment.

Is this our end?
