| To Freedom |"Your honor, I completely disagree with my colleague, my client is no threat to society. And I plan to prove so in trial. We will not take a plea deal when my client hadn't even been mirandized."
The judge took off his glasses and looked over at Henry Mendoza. The biggest prick on the planet and he had to be the one representing the victims family.
"Mendoza, is that true? Was Mr. Knight not mirandized?"
"Well—Um your honor—Yes that's true but--"
"But nothing, I side with the defendant, bond is set at $250,000. And that's final! When I see you again for the first official hearing, you better have your shit together. Court is adjourned." He exclaimed banging his gavel.
The look on Mendozas face was priceless, I collected my items and sashayed out the court room.
"Lattimore!"
I turned on my heels, as Mendoza chased me down.
"Can I help you?"
"Way to fucking go, you're really representing this murderer? That will look good on your repertoire."
"And what proof do you have,, that my client is in fact a murderer?"
I held my hand up.
"Actually wait till trial, you're gonna need it."
"Yeah we'll see Lattimore, see you in a week."
Flipping my hair over my shoulder. I walked away. My case would be air tight, by the time we go to trial. I had no worries what so ever.
Feeling good, I decided to treat myself to a little shopping. This was my only free day till Saturday, so I might as well enjoy it.
I texted Tiffany to meet me in 20 at the mall. Knowing her we'd be catching lunch after, we are both foodies.
Even if it was only a little win, I take all my wins as accomplishments.

Pulling into the mall parking lot.
I parked and headed towards the Louis Vuitton store.
Browsing a bit, I stopped at a pair of snakeskin combat boots. These would be perfect, for the upcoming season. And I had the perfect outfit for them.
"Excuse me, May I get this in a size 37 please?"
"Yes ma'am, would you also like to view the matching hand bag? We just got two in today!"
I nodded, feeling my phone buzzing.
Ring
RingI rummaged through my purse, until I finally found it.
