After the last bell of the day, I stayed in the chemistry classroom to avoid the after school stampede. I waited for the hallway to clear out before leaving.

"Kaylin," Mrs. Turk said to me.

"Huh?" I said turning from the door and facing her.

"You're doing exceptional in this class," she went on to say. "I'm thinking of recommending you to be moved to the honors class."

"Thanks Ms. Turk." I said. "that won't be necessary though. I don't think I'm ready for that challenge just yet."

She gave me a puzzled looked then it faded away.

"Alright then." she said smiling at me. "I think the hallway's clear."

I laughed too and said "you're right. I'll see you tomorrow."

I gathered my belongings and put my headphones in.

I strolled down the hallway of ole Monte Vista High while I listened to Chris Brown - Stereotype. I had to get to my locker to get ready for basketball practice.

I hummed the words to the song while I put my books in my locker. I grabbed my basketball uniform out my duffle bag, and went into the bathroom to put it on. I went back to my locker and anything I needed to take home in my bookbag. put my hair in a messy bun while I looked in the mirror hanging on the door. I put my bookbag on, grabbed my ball, threw my duffle bag over my right shoulder, and closed my locker, only to be scared half to death by Julian leaning on a locker next to mine. Why is he here? lol.

"Oh my god." I said grabbing my heart with one hand. "don't do that."

"What, I scared you?" He said laughing.

"Yes." I said sighing.

He laughed when I said that and I just rolled my eyes at him. I held my basketball to my left side and locked my locker then started walking down the hallway with him.

"Why are you here? You stalking me or something?" I asked with a smirk.

"Never" he said laughing too. "I'm here with Langston, DayDay and Nick."

"Who the hell is Nick?"

"Nick Cannon."

"Oh shit. What yall here for?" I said.

"He wanted to bring us here so we can get familiar with the school before we start shooting the movie" he said.

Movie? What the fuck?

"Woah woah woah, what movie?" I asked.

"You sure do ask a lot of questions." He said laughing.

I laughed too and shook my head in disbelief.

"Look, I'm sorry. But talk."

"It's a movie we filming over the summer." He said. "It doesn't really have a set name yet but you'll hear about it."

By that time we were already at the front desk, where Langston and DayDay were standing. Nick was in the principle's office talking to him about the details of filming here and shit like that I assume. We stopped there and Langston and DayDay walked up to us. They just gave me head nods saying hi and I did the same.

I pulled out my phone from my bag and looked at it with wide eyes; I'm about to be late for practice.

"Well I gotta get to basketball practice sooo...." I said. "bye."

I almost turned around to walk away but they stopped me.

"Oh cool" Langston said walking and rubbing his hands together. "Let's get to practice then."
