Men do cry, but it's societal pressure that makes them hide their emotions.
Well, I agree with this statement that it is untrue to say men never cry. Men do cry!
A man will cry if he loses his mother, his father, his brother, his sister, his daughter, his son, his wife, his pet, and so on. Death makes everyone cry.
However, it is equally valid that most of the men don't cry for petty reasons.
Some women have politicized this issue. When a man show tears, then these women make fun of him.
The funny part is these women don't know male-tears is a euphemism for semen. Well, you go, girl!
Of course, I'm not saying all women have this intention when they say men should express their emotions. "Some" is the keyword. I agree suppression of emotions is not healthy.
But let me be honest here, this implication that "real men should cry" is triggering for some men, just like how it is triggering for some women to say they are emotional. Nothing makes such women shake with emotions when they are told they are emotional. If I dig more into this, then I'll be labeled as a sexist. Sorry for having an opinion!
So, going back to the first statement mentioned in this piece of writing, you will notice in a relationship, sometimes, a man doesn't express his genuine emotions. It's because he fears that his girl will use his feelings against him when he's down. Some girls do it (maybe unconsciously), you may deny it, but you do it.
Again, "some" is the keyword.
Now, this is something not everyone will tell you—many girls don't know this, but some men turn on the fake waterworks so that they can gain a woman's trust. Thanks to the societal perception, which also says that when a man cries, he's damn serious about it. Some men know this thing, so that's how they use it for their vested interest.
So I daresay you should be aware of such men. Because... some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world BURN.
