He was your best friend, you've known eachother since grade school. How did you meet him? Well It all started...
**FLASHBACK**
6 year old shirabu and you, he was being bullied by 8 year olds that also went to your school. What did you do? You went over and went off on them.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing? Get away from him!" You screamed. They stopped and looked at you, each one smirking.
"What're you gonna do about it? Cry to your mommy?"
"Jokes on you, I don't have one" You laughed. The boys froze, unable to respond.
After a few seconds, they got closer to you. One grabbed the collar of your shirt, then threw you to the ground. He stepped onto your stomach, making your guts ache.
"Who's laughing now?" They snickered. Your blood was boiling with anger, but your hands were shaking. You tried getting up, but just couldn't. Then they started throwing small rocks at you, gradually getting bigger and bigger as the minutes passed. One boy hit you with a huge rock, leaving a big gash around your eye. They kicked you a few times, before starting to walk off after the bell rang.
"Heroes don't exist, so don't try to be one you idiot" One said before they all disappeared from sight. You looked into the thick tense air for a second, before turning to see the little boy who they had originally been bullying. You knew him, because you lived across the street from him. Yall never talked too much because your dad was never home and mom had abandoned you and dad right when you were born. So you never had time to ever visit or say hi. At school, he was practically a bookworm, never really paying attention to anyone else.
"Thank you..." He quietly mumbled to you. You looked at him and smiled.
"That's ok, I was only trying to do what's right!" He smiled a little back at you. That became the start of you guys friendship.
**11 YEARS LATER**
You guys were still best friends, but your mental health started to decline. You both went to Shiratorizawa, you played soccer and he played volleyball. Your dad had not approved of you wanting to do sports for the rest of your life, he pushed you to do academics. Like getting into debate club or literature club. He wanted you to be a doctor, engineer, motivational speaker, anything but sports. He never physically touched you, but he verbally abused you. He sometimes even used your mom as a reason to verbally attack you.
"Your mother wouldn't want you doing sports"
"Your the reason she left us"
"She's definitely happy right now, probably with a kid he she actually WANTS"
He would tell you. There were nights where all you wanted to do was die. You passed by a bridge every time you went to school, it was high. Underneath was water but there were sharp rocks there too. You'd surely die if you jumped. One day, you went to school. You sat with Shirabu and his friends from volleyball. They were all nice to you. The thing was, you didn't have too much trouble at school. You were a little bit on the dumb side, but you did get here because of a sportsr scholarship for soccer. Soccer was everything to you, you were determined to make it to professionals some day.
"So Y/N, how's your stuff going?" Shirabu asked.
"My academics are still crap, as always, and soccer is going pretty good. I'm still the starter." you say, but a little quiet. It's how you usually talk, but Shirabu sensed something different. It was like you were trying to call for help, trying to ask someone to just give you a hug and tell you that they care. Nobody else felt suspicious, but Shirabu knew something was wrong.
