"Someone's coming, Lily -" She panicked - turning her head so fast that her ponytail ended up whipping along, slapping his cheek in the process. Jungkook's not sure whether to laugh or to shout at her! "Sorry...my bad," He grinned when she stretches her neck and finding no one around.
"Yaa...don't scare me like that," She pouts with a serious frown, even her bangs couldn't hide it! Then her focus went straight back to the small trowel in her hand, digging into the grass. Damn, we'd be here all night with that small thing - "Stop bugging me and help,"
"What can I do - you only brought one and you insisted that you could do it,"
"I wouldn't insist if you weren't such a coward to do it,"
"I'm not a coward - I just don't wanna get into any trouble,"
Lisa rolls her eyes at him again. "You caused more mess when we were in highschool and now you're a pussy. What have you done to my Jungkook?" He swore he's going to somehow make her pay for calling him that!
"There...should be deep enough," She mutters to herself. "Can I have some light please?" Her voice sounded cutely but Jungkook's not buying it. The girl's probably rolling her eyes at him again.
Nevertheless, he switched on the torchlight on his phone and points it to the ground. Wow...she really did dug a whole hole with all her might!
Lisa took the tightly shut tin box they brought here just for this specific reason and puts it in before pushing the dirt back in, covering the ground to the way it was.
"Phew...that was such a work!" She lets out a big sigh and smiles proudly. "We did it!"
"Uh...you did it. I only stood here and watch,"
"You didn't stop me - which means you're an accomplice. Don't think you're getting out of this a free man, Jeon Jungkook," She squints her eyes at him, making him laugh. "I'm hungry now...can we go get hotdogs?"
She wraps her arms around his as they walk back to the car. Jungkook nods and tells her she can have two and fries - for all her hard work tonight.
"So um...when should we dig it back?" He asked as they got in the car. He looks back out to the spot where they were before.
"When we need to,"
...
Jungkook's so tired that even his anxious self can't be bothered any longer. The bright lights in here hurts his eyes, and the noise is giving him a headache. How much longer will this take?
"Okay," The officer who was appointed to him came back to his seat, bringing along a brown folder. "You look young - how old are you?"
"Twenty-three,"
"Huaa...I'd do anything to go back to when I was twenty-three. I'd do a lot of things differently," Jungkook pursed his lips, knowing full well where the officer is going with this. "So what is it - drugs? What kind?"
"I told you, it's not like that," His patience is running out. He's not sure how many times he has to repeat it - he's been saying it since they questioned him at the park and it's been an hour of being at the station now!
"Then what is it?" He fell silent. What can he answer without sounding like a pathetic loser who's trying to find his ex-girlfriend by digging up a tin box? "Look, I wanna believe you. You look like a nice guy - clean, young professional. But there's a lot of young professionals out there who hides drugs and weapons - even dirty money, just tell me -"
