It's always the same nowadays. His mood is always grey and nothing much excites him anymore. He just wrapped up another song recording, but it was just...meh...
He knew it wasn't good – not by his standard at least – but the girls of Twice and their manager liked it and that's all that matters I guess. Jungkook threw the cigarette butt in the ashtray, feeling slightly nauseated for some reason – but chose to shrug it off.
The days began to feel more and more like a routine. He just realized it a couple of days ago when the same feeling kicked in. It's weird...he's been doing more or less the same things before, but now...something is missing.
Of course something is missing – do you even need to ask? It's because she's not with you anymore – she left! No...she didn't leave you – you left her! Jungkook swallowed the painful memory again.
It's always the same. There's not a day that went by without him thinking about her and about that night. He was cruel...so cruel...and now he's paying for it. Her face haunts him in his dreams. Her voice echoed in his ears and her touch...he'd give anything to feel her skin and her kiss again – it's always what he longs for in his mornings and nights.
...
Tonight's the night! In approximately 12 minutes – hopefully, she gets here on time – he will pour his heart out to the girl of his dreams. The girl who had captured his heart since the first time he saw her four years ago. The one who had been there through his ups and downs since – relentlessly and patiently keeping up with his endless and sometimes childish antics.
Jungkook smiles again as his fingertips brushed on the small box in his pocket. He's excited, but also nervous. Would she say yes? Or would she run and leave him alone, crying out here at the same spot that they always hang out? He looks around to his quiet surroundings. He can't recall if the trees and rocks are the same ones but if they are, he hopes that they're proud of him now. They been witnessing his progress, day by day, trying to be closer to her.
Her...her big, round, kind eyes that seems like they hold an entire galaxy of only beautiful things, lighting them up and cherishing every passing life. Her smile that's always so grateful...so bright...so warm that could thaw even the thickest of ice. Her long, golden hair and her pink, puffy cheeks...her plump lips that has been obliviously tempting him day by day. God really took his time in creating her didn't He?
She's like a character made up in fictional books and comics. You know, the ones who are perfect with all their imperfections. She's shy, but can be quite mischievous. She's not the adventurous type, but is always up for a challenge. She's sweet and cute, but is also alluring and sexy. She can be dead serious but she can also be funny as hell!
Her laugh always sounds magical in his ears, encouraging him to do more so he could hear it again and again. Her beautiful mind and her blissfully peaceful, kind heart...ahh...Jungkook wanted nothing more than to be with her forever! And after getting all the encouragements from his friends and spending two whole nights rehearsing, he finally gathered enough courage to do it.
I will make her mine. I will love her and one day, I will marry her. I'll wake up next to her every day and I'll make her happy every damn day for my entire life! I hope she says yes. I hope she likes me too...or maybe give me a chance to show her that she can.
He still remembers the first time he saw her four years ago, through the glass of his bedroom window. She's the prettiest thing he'd ever seen – holding a lamb in one hand and hugging it tightly. Her big eyes sparkled with such delight over it. It's so weird that he didn't even question 'what is this new neighbor doing with a lamb in their backyard?'. To be honest, he felt like he'd known her before. Not like, seen her or bumped into her anywhere – just that feeling of deja-vu...
