While Holding the Pain

Be strong enough to walk away from those that continue to hurt you.

Be brave enough to walk alone until you find the ones that deserve you.

Roshni's P.O.V.

Entering office, I heard Murat sir asking someone about me. While looking at the watch if I have gotten late, I went upto him. I was on time. May be Sir came earlier today.

Seeing me, he came forward and asked me, "Roshni, where is the file of the contract with Ahmed Construction? You were going to handle that, right?"

"Yes sir. The file is in my cabin." I answered him politely and he asked for the file.

I rushed to my cabin and taking the file, I went to Sir.

He took the file and went to his cabin. I entered my cabin again and after a while Hena knocked and asked peeping her head, "Busy?"

When I replied, "No. Come.", she entered and asked, "How's Tithy?"

I replied smilingly, "Fine. Resting at home."

When Hena said, "By the way your party was pretty cool.", I remembered something and took out my phone.

"Okay. See you at lunch." saying this, Hena left my cabin and I called Tamim.

He answered the call at last ring may be. I asked him, "You didn’t come last evening. Anything wrong?"

He kept silent for a moment then said, "Ammi suddenly fall sick. That's why I couldn’t go. Sorry."

"That’s okay. What happened to your mother and what is the condition now?"

He answered slightly stuttering. "No..nothing serious b..but as she is a heart patient, I got ten..tensed."

"I understand. Okay take care of her. Will talk later."
I cut off the line and tried to remember whether he ever mentioned about his mother.
I remembered him saying that he is alone. Then, Ammi!!

My chain of thought broke when my phone rang off again.
It was Murat Sir. I answered the call immediately and he told me to go to his cabin.

After knocking, I entered his cabin. He  gave me the file back and said, " Tomorrow we are going to have a meeting with Mr. Ahmed. Check the file again as you are going to accompany me there."

I replied politely, "Okay Sir" and was about to leave but remembering something, I stopped and turned to him.

When sir saw that, he asked me, "What? Do you want to say something?"

With a hesitation, I said, "Actually I need to leave earlier today. Sir, if you"
He cut me off and said, "That's okay. Complete this file and then you can leave for today if you want. But try to come earlier next day."

"Okay sir. Thank you." I smilingly said and left his cabin.

When I completed working on the file, it was half past 12. I was preparing to leave but Hena came to my cabin and gave me a file. Looking at me when she understood, I was preparing to leave, she said, " Early leave? Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, Everything is okay. But I need to go home earlier today. What about this file?" I asked her pointing at the file, she gave me.

"You need to check it out now. But"
"It’s okay. I will check it out and then go. Don't worry." I said to her and she thanked me.

After working for a while, when it was almost 2 PM, I left for home.

Ruhaan's P.O.V.

It was 5 by the afternoon and I was still working on a file. I have a meeting tomorrow and I have to finalize a deal.

If this deal gets success, my company will stand its ground more firmly. My thought got interrupted when my phone rang off. Seeing the caller id, I looked at the clock remembering something.

I didn’t answer the call but closing the file, I got up and forwarded towards the exit of my office.

Hopping in car, I drove to the park. Entering the park, I found Shaan sitting on our as usual bench as before.

I got near and sat beside him. He turned to me and smiled a little. Then he asked me, "What is it vai?"

I kept staring at him but didn’t answer at first. Finding me silent, he again asked, "Vai, didn’t you say you have something to tell me? So now tell me."

I nodded at him but looked ahead. I was not understanding how to start. He sensed my hesitation and maybe to lighten up the situation, he started saying, "Vai, you know, today I dreamt of the moment when me and Titly confessed about our relationship to you. You know how scared I was thinking you will be angry. But you were so happy then."

Being unable to take it anymore, I cut him off and said, "Shaan, that was all in past. There is not a little bit of possible way now that your dream will come true. So stop."

Shaan looked at me with uttered shocked and sad expression as he spoke up, "Vai!"

Ignoring his interruption, I continued,  "Stop remaining stuck there. Go ahead with your life. Get settled and be happy."

With the same face, he spoke up, "Vai, are you even listening yourself? What are you talking about!"

"Shaan, I want you to move on from your bitter memories. You cannot destroy your full life mourning over that incident."

"Vai, you are talking like Abbu. Did he tell you to convince me about this?"

Without bothering to answer his question, I again spoke up, "Shaan, didn’t you say that day that my opinion matters to you like everything. Then listen to me. You will get married within the next month. Either you choose a girl by yourself or we will choose for you and you will marry her."

Shaan kept silent for a while looking at me blankly. Then he spoke up, "And after that what? You will tell me to stay away from you and be happy and to get settled blah blah. You know me well vai. That's not possible for me and I am not going to do any of this."

"Shaan, listen to me. I don’t want you"
He didn’t let me complete and said, "I know you want me to be happy and believe me. I am happy or not with my life won't get changed by settling down vai. You tell me one thing, why are you not settling? Just because you want to keep your promise, isn’t it? Then why can't I, vai?"

I couldn’t take it anymore. I stood up and said more like yelled, "The matters are different Shaan. Don’t connect it. Either you listen to me or Don't call me vai. Shaan, who considered me as his brother would never ever turn me down. Never ever." and got away from him and left the park immediately with teary eyes.
