Roshni's P.O.V.
.
We were sitting in the living room when Titly came and spoke up, “Vai, let's go.”
Getting all shocked and scared, I asked her, “Where?” only to get a questioning and confused look from her as she uttered, “Where else! Office obviously. What did you think, Api?”
I couldn't bring myself to utter anything other than turning my head left and right. Then she looked at Ruhaan and spoke up, “Si..I mean Vai, we have an important meeting today.”
Ruhaan was still looking at Titly being confused. Seeing that, Titly again uttered, “Besides being your sister, I am your secretary too, remember?”
I didn’t know why but hearing her saying that, Ruhaan smiled heartily while nodding to her.
Giving that thought a break, I thought in mind, “It will be better. In Titly’s absence, I will get time to talk to Ammi and convince her somehow.”
Taking their leave, they left the house and I felt my eyes getting watery. For a moment I thought Titly was going back to her real house, her home leaving us forever.
Wiping my eyes, I turned to Ammi only to find her staring at them with teary eyes. When I spoke up, “Ammi, what's the matter? Why are you being like this?”
Ammi kept staring at me for a while then spoke up, “I am feeling tired, Roshni. I will get some sleep. You too take some rest.”
Before I could say anything, Ammi left to her room leaving me all puzzled. I again sat in the living room and kept thinking about it. Ammi was behaving somewhat oddly.
I didn’t get to decide how to tell all this to ammi as I was getting afraid of something bad happening to her.
Though I was searching for Titly’s family for all this time but when he was in front of me, the brother of Titly, now I was getting afraid of losing Ammi.
What should I do! While thinking all this, I forwarded towards my room. Taking out a picture of Tithy, I kept staring at her and didn’t get to know when tears started rolling down from my eyes.
I kept sitting on my bed like that until I heard Ammi calling my name as she entered the room.
I put the photo frame under the pillow and turned to her. While walking towards her, I uttered being concerned, “You okay, Ammi?”
Without replying me, she wiped the tear of my eyes making me got all startled and before I could say something after getting myself together, Ammi walked towards the bed and took out the photo frame of Tithy.
Then as she kept staring at it, her eyes also got watery. And with that teary eyes, she turned to me and spoke up, “Is Ruhaan really Titly’s brother?” making me got shocked again.
I couldn’t get myself to utter anything as I kept staring at her with a disbelieving look.
She looked at the picture again and spoke up while caressing the photo, “Did you really think I wouldn’t get to know whether she was really my Tithy!”
“Ammi, how did you” I walked towards her as I spoke up only to get stopped as she uttered in between, “You are forgetting Roshni, Tithy was my daughter and I was her mother. How could I not know!”
I sat on the floor while crying with a thud as I spoke up, “I am sorry, Ammi. I am sorry. I just, I just”
Ammi picked me up and hugged me as she spoke up, “I know dear why you did that. Though I got really angry to know your doing but when I saw you crying holding Tithy’s picture and explaining to Heer why you couldn’t bring yourself to tell me all this and how you met Titly and when Heer convinced you that it was not your fault and how Titly ended up getting Tithy's face and later when I saw how heartily you kept searching for Titly’s family, my anger melt down.
