Tithy's home

After dinner, they gossiped for a while lying on both sides of their mother which was more like hearing Tithy's blabbering.

Tithy explained them about her first day of work excluding the accident and Ruhaan's emotional part.

When they found their mother was feeling sleepy, they left from there saying "Good Night. Sweet dreams Ma" and giving good night kisses on her hair.

Entering their bedroom, Tithy asked Roshni, "How were you early today, Api? Is everything going alright with you?"

Without answering, Roshni kept staring at her for a while thinking whether she should tell her.

When Tithy found no answer, she again asked, "Api, I am asking you something. Answer me truly. If there is anything wrong, please tell me."

Holding something within, Roshni smilingly answered, "Everything is going smoothly. Nothing to worry big sis."

Being unconvinced, Tithy again asked "Then why were you earlier today? That's so unlikely of you."

"You knew about our current project, right? The work was completed earlier today. So Murat sir gave our team half day today." Roshni replied excluding something that might make her worried.

"Okay then.", saying this, Tithy lied on bed taking her phone. She switched the phone on and took a book from the table.

Noticing her movement for a while, Roshni said to her, "Now you tell me."

"About what?" Tithy asked in her casual tone...
Pointing at her hand, Roshni asked, "how did you get hurt?"

"It was nothing like that, Api. I was just slightly pushed off by a car accidentally."

"What?!", Roshni asked shockingly.

"Nothing to worry, Api. The accident was not intentional. The driver was an aged man. He apologized to me immediately and he even dropped me in office. Though he wanted me to go to hospital first but at last accepting my request, he let it go and dropped me in office."

Tithy was blabbering but nothing was reaching Roshni's mind as it got stuck at the thought of the word accident.

Looking at Roshni's pale face, Tithy slightly shook her and said, "Api, don't worry. I am alright."

Tithy hit her hurt hand and said again, "See, there is no pain now."

When Roshni was about to say something, Tithy's mobile rang off. Looking at the caller ID, Tithy cut off the line and turned to Roshni and again said, "Api, really there is nothing to worry."

Roshni diverted her mind from a previous incident thought and looked at Tithy's hand carefully and said, "Tithy, are you really okay, sweetie?"

Tithy nodded as yes with a smile.
Then Roshni, pointing at Tithy's phone asked, "What's the matter? Why are you ignoring the calls?"

"Nothing". Tithy replied sadly staring at her phone.
Roshni again said, "Tithy, you know, sometime you should"

Tithy cut her off saying, "Api please "

Roshni thought in mind, "What should I do with these two! They fight like school kids which seems like really they can't digest their food without fighting. But they can't live without each other. But this time, Tithy seems really upset over something. Anyway it can't be "

Roshni's chain of thought got cut off by Tithy's voice, "Give it a break, api."
"But Tithy, isn't it too early to ?" Roshni got cut off before completing....

Tithy said keeping her eyes still on book, "I am tired, api."

Roshni smilingly asked then, "So, tomorrow by any chance, are we going to have a guest early in the morning??"

"Whatever" saying this, Tithy continued reading.

Smiling at Tithy's likewise nature, Roshni went to the balcony taking her mobile and messaged someone, "Need to meet urgently. Something seems off."

Returning room, Roshni found Tithy was already fallen asleep. Closing the book, she kept it on the table. She put the blanket on her properly and kissed on her hair whispering, "Good night, sweetie."

With a worried and sad face, Roshni kept staring at Tithy for a while and then lied beside her.

She went on thinking if it was her fault, until she drifted to sleep.

Ruhaan's home

Entering the house, Ruhaan directly went to Titly's room. He entered the room saying more like screaming, "Titly see, I have got you watches...."

Titly came to him running. Getting the wrapped packet from him, she unwrapped it.

Glancing at the watches she exclaimed with excitement, "Wow, these are so beautiful. I just love these."

"Thank you vai", saying this Titly hugged Ruhaan happily.
"You are most welcome, sister." Ruhaan happily said and hugged her back.

"Wait a moment. I am going to show the beautiful watches to Ma (Mother) and Abbu (Father)", saying this Titly left the room running.

Ruhaan rushed following her but Titly and his parents were nowhere to found instead he caught the sight of the wrapped packets of watches which were still in his hand.

With watery eyes, he looked around his empty house for a while and then he slowly went back to Titly's room and stood in front of a large smiling picture of her which was hanging on the wall.

With a sad smile, he said, "Titly see, I got your birthday gift. Don't you want to know what is it?"

He unwrapped the packet and held it in front of the picture. "See. I got watches for you. You know I really needed to try your idea today as I got confused between these two like really. Aren't both of the watches really beautiful?"

After remaining like that for a while, Ruhaan went near a cupboard. He opened a drawer of the cupboard where many packets of gifts were lying. Some were still wrapped while some were partially unwrapped.

Ruhaan stared at the packets for some time with watery eyes. But tears made their way spontaneously when Ruhaan diverted his eyes from the gift packets to the smiling picture of Titly.

He left the packet in the drawer with other packets and closed the drawer. Wiping the tear stains, he switched off the light.

When he was about to leave the room, he heard a small but very familiar voice.

"Vaaaii..."
The voice was filled with fear. Ruhaan looked back at the dark room and understood that was fear of darkness. As Titly was very fearful to darkness.

He went near the bed and after staring at the empty bed for a while, he lit the bed side light on and left the room with watery eyes.

Leaving the room, Ruhaan looked at his room and then turned and forwarded towards the gym to calm him.
