Chapter 2

Shadow POV

Yumiko had a badly broken nose and concussion from hitting her head so Doc did what he could then let us go.

Shadow: Hey, it's ok, Yumi. You'll be ok.

I walked back to our dorm and Yumiko laid down on her bed.

Shadow: Do you want to cuddle?

Yumiko: Please?

Shadow: Of course, we can.

I laid down next to Yumiko who was not enjoying her current injuries.

Shadow: I'm sorry.

Yumiko: For what?

Shadow: Getting you hurt.

Yumiko: It wasn't your fault... Did you actually plan on going with them?

Shadow: I was going to wait until we were outside so there was more space and less chance of someone else getting hurt.

Yumiko: Why did Six shoot the last guy?

Shadow: Kinda confusing why.

Yumiko: I don't know. What were you going to do about that guy?

Shadow: Break his arm and kill him.

Yumiko: I think you could.

Shadow: I've done it before... I'll protect you at all times, Yumi.

Yumiko: I know, Y/N.

Shadow: I love you.

Yumiko: I love you too.

Intercom: Shadow and Hibana to my office please.

Shadow: Take your time getting up if you need.

I stood up and waited for Yumiko who got up. She leaned onto me and grabbed my hand.

Yumiko: Alright, let's go.

I walked to Six's office with Yumiko and we sat down in front of him.

Six: Please explain everything that led up to what happened.

Yumiko: Yesterday Jordan cheated on me so I talked with Y/N and we got together. Jordan started a fight this morning and Y/N won it.

Six: Ok. Shadow, why did you kill two SAS members?

Shadow: One of them punched Yumiko.

Six: Ok. No disciplinary action will be taken. Dismissed.

We left Six's office and he activated the intercom.

Six: All SAS operators report to the meeting room.

Six POV

Six: Your SAS officers will soon be ordering you to kill Shadow on sight. I'm overriding that order. Don't get closer than 2 meters to him or Hibana or you'll be disciplined if he doesn't kill you.

Sledge: May I ask why?

Six: Two SAS members are dead.

Mute: Why?

Six: I won't say anymore about the situation. Ask either Shadow or Hibana about it if you want more details. Dismissed.

The operators left the meeting room and I returned to my office where I filed the incident report.

Shadow POV

I stayed with Yumiko at all times and kept her mind off of things to keep her calm. My phone started ringing and I picked up to hear my sister crying hysterically.
