Her brow furrowed at my statement.

 "What?" She asked.

I leaned towards her. "Do you know Silent Night?"

She tilted her head sideways, in the most adorable way, and slowly nodded.

 "Sing it."

" Aide-" I held up her hand to stop her, and remembering what happened last time, raised both eyebrows this time.

She sighed-really dramatically I might add-on which made me smile, and then took a deep breath. She looked like she was going to sing, but then she snapped her mouth shut.

She squeezed her eyes tightly and shook her head. "I can't." I grabbed her hand and squeezed it trying to give her the courage she needed.

 "Why not?" I asked softly.

"I can't sing a capella." I tried not to laugh at that statement and then called up to the front.

"Excuse me? Can we have the song Silent Night played back here?" I heard someone shuffling about. Summer slapped her face with her hand.

"Aiden!" she called. I laughed and after a while she joined me. Until the music came on.

I elbowed her as the introduction came to an end. And then she started to sing. Everything else didn't matter anymore. All that I saw was Summer. All that I heard was her voice. And it was a beautiful voice at that.

"Silent Night, Holy Night, all is calm, all is bright."

I couldn't breathe. My stomach was tied up in knots. She had to be an angel.

Light shone in on her from the window and brightened her face. Her blond hair crates a halo around her head. Her violet eyes twinkled.

"Sleep in heavenly peace. Sleep in heavenly Peace."

And her mouth moved in time to the music blaring from the her speakers. Her pink soft lips, that I longed to claim for myself. But I couldn't. Not again.

 Not after what happened. Elsie.

Memories of that day taunted me. The chains. The pillar. My dad's angry whispers. My angry whispers. The guards. Her already bloody body. The tiger.

Her body after the tiger was done with it. I shuddered and pulled my self from my thoughts as Summer finished the song and held out the last notw.

I clapped enthusiastically and whistled. I heard laughing from another room, but ignored what everyone else thought.

Summer blushed. And she looked even better when she blushed.

My heart started beating and my heart lifted with hope. That was quickly pushed back down by reason. But hope overcame the reason. I leaned towards her. I expected her to scoot backwards or at least lean away.

But instead she actually leaned towards me. Her moods swung so often. But I loved each and every one of them.

I tucked a strand of her soft honey blond hair behind her right ear. My hand stroked the birthmark shaped like an A. My hand warmed at the contact. And the warmth spread through my whole body, heating it.

I brought out my other hand and cupped her face in both of them. And leaned down towards her. My lips were so close. Almost touching.

When a loud voice came in the speakers. "We have arrived at our destination. Since this is an enclosed space, we will wait 16 hours for you if you are not in the plane by then, we will leave without you."
