Chapter two: Love?

(Carley's POV)

It was a cold windy night, everyone was fast asleep inside their room, however, I was outside thinking about the events that occurred at the drugstore.

"The thought that Lee chose me over Doug was quite a shocker. I know about his past, what he did to the senator, all the pain and grief he brought upon his wife, and his f-."

The wind started to pick up and interrupted my thoughts. "I better get my ass back inside before I freeze to death."

I then proceeded to take off my jacket and put on my night clothes. I laid down on my uncomfortable bed and thought to myself; "I never realized how good a person Lee is, he always looks on the bright side and helps others when needed."

I felt my heart beat faster and faster.

"What is this feeling? The one where your hear beats fast and faster when you think about a certain someone? Do I like Lee? Apparently, my heart says so."

"He isn't a bad looking fellow either."
