Charles: Dammit!

Without giving it a second thought Charles jumped off from the back of the truck and went to help the child.

Amy: Chars! The hell are you doing?!

Charles: (She's right, what AM I doing?) Drive! I'll meet you at the diner we passed early!

The child had her knee scraped, there was no way for her to walk even less run.

Charles: What's your name?

Child: *sniffles* Magi

Charles: Okay Magi I need you to hop onto my back, I'll carry you. Hold on tight!

Charles gave a piggy back ride to Magi and they took off. Luckily for Charles the little girl didn't weigh much so running wasn't that hard. However they soon had to hurry because nightfall was approaching and that is when the cat girls are most active. Panting and sweating, Charles was able to reach the diner from before.

Charles: Here. We're here. Quick! Climb up the ladder to the roof!

Magi went up the ladder as fast as her little legs and arms could take her. The sun made the cat girls lazy so escaping from them was easy. If it was night time things would have been totally different.

Charles: Does it hurt? *looking at her knee* Here let me put you something.

Magi just nodded her head, she wasn't much of a talker. Charles ripped a piece off his long sleeve shirt and used it as a bandage. Magi was still shaken from earlier so approaching her was going to be difficult. Whenever Charles approached her, Magi would try to get away almost as she was scared of him. But after several minutes and attempts he was able to aid her scraped knee.

Magi: *in a soft voice* Water.

Charles: What?

Magi: Water... please.

Magi's lips were dry and chapped, but not as much as Charles that has been running around almost all day. Charles happily gave Magi some water to drink, after taking a huge gulp of water she offered some to Charles but he declined. It's not that he wasn't thirsty, if there was an ocean of water in front of him he would drink it, but the water was used as defense. Water was the only weapon they had against the cat girls so no matter how thirsty Charles was, he was not going to use up his only type of defense.

Charles: So Magi, where are your parents?

After a short silence she finally answered.

Magi: They went to the store to get some food and left me waiting home. They said they would be back in a couple of hours but they never showed...

Charles: I'm sorry to hear that, I'm sure we'll find them, okay?

Magi nodded as she took another sip of water. This went on for a couple of hours before they heard footsteps. Charles told Magi to get down and keep quiet. The only thing worse than cat girls was people, bad people.

Amy: *in a low voice* Psst! Chars! It's me Amy!

Charles: Amy?

Amy arrived by foot afraid that the engine of the truck would attract more cat girls. They got off the roof of the diner and started walking towards the truck. This was it now just Charles, Amy and their newest member Magi, against the cat girls. What other challenges and adventures are standing before them? Only time will tell.
