Chapter 4: The Uncrossable Bridge

Charles: Amy! Magi! Get down!

The trio was wandering through a city park when Charles spotted a group of catgirls by the lake. They were napping under a nearby tree. They were so cute, cute ears, cute paws, cute sleeping face, and especially cute tails. They were so adorable, at least that's what they seemed. Unfortunately for the group, the catgirls were covering the path to cross the bridge over the lake. They had two options.

Charles: Okay we have two options, we either sneak pass by them and cross the bridge. Or we go the way back we came from and go all the way around the park.

The city park was enormous, it would take at least half an hour to get out and another hour to try to go around it. What are they going to do?

Amy: We go through the bridge

Magi: *hides behinds Charles* I-I don't want to.

Magi had grown closer to Charles over the past days, looking at him as a big brother. Nonetheless, Magi was scared to pass by so many catgirls. Amy wanted to go through the bridge and Magi wanted to go back around. It was up to Charles to decide.

Charles: *takes Magi by the shoulder* Listen Magi, I'm also scared but this is the fastest way out of the city. If nightfall comes and we're still in the city then we'll be in a bigger mess. Do you understand?

Maggie sniffles and nods, she trusted Charles, he had the potential of a leader. So the three of them got ready and started approaching the bridge with utmost caution to not wake up the catgirls.

Catgirls: *talking in their sleep* UwU, Watashi wants you all for herself *meow*.

Even in their sleep, they sounded cute but the trio had to stay focused. One bad misstep and all hell would break loose. As they were getting close to the bridge, a bird flew under the tree and unto one of its branches. The bird looked awfully stuffed. Charles signaled the girls to stop moving. They all watched the bird, something was up. The bird was going to poop.

Magi: *gasps* C-chars?

Charles: Damn it! RUN!

As Charles spoke, the poop of the bird landed on one of the napping catgirls instantly waking her up and alerting the others. "UwU, meow, grr" those were sounds of awakening catgirls. They ran towards the bridge and were quickly caught up by the group of catgirls. Surrounded with no escape there was one choice.

Amy: Now what? There's too many to shoot!

Charles: Dammit all!

Charles picked up Magi and placed her outside the rail hand of the bridge the only escape they had was jumping into the lake. Magi terrified, she did not know how to swim.

Amy: Chars! Are you nuts!? That's crazy!

Charles: Do you have a better idea?

As the catgirls closed in, the trio prepared to jump into the lake. Magi got onto Charles' back and Amy took his hand. They were going to jump together and hoped to escape. But suddenly Amy slips and drags down Charles with her causing Magi to fall in headfirst. A terrible misstep.
