Chapter 41:
"I thought we were on an island? I thought the farthest drive was like five minutes?" Louis asked as he smashed his face against the glass of the van.
"Don't think that's the way it works," Josh responded with a chuckle.
"We're almost there," the local driver informed, as he tried his best to hide a smile.
My eyes drifted shut, exhaustion from the past two weeks finally catching up to me. From going to tourist sites, to running around backstage, to traveling all around the United States.. It'd been a jam-packed last few weeks. Not that I would have traded it for anything in the world. Ever since the drama with Lilly had been resolved, everything had been smooth sailing.
Josh was happy. Whenever I saw him, he had a smile written across his features. It was almost adorable at how his eyes would lit up when there was any mention of Lilly. Josh and I hadn't really been able to hang out since Lilly and him started going out, and that whole drama.. But I was thinking it was for the best. When we did hang out, it was fun-filled and at least five inside jokes came out of it. Lilly was back at work and Josh called her at least once a day.
As much as I hated to admit it.. They were good for each other.
I had also managed to submit my applications to local London universities. There was no way I was going to spend the rest of my life hanging off my brother and boyfriend's fame and not pursuing my dream. Now that I had (almost) come to grips with my memory loss, doors opened for me. I was going to move on.
"We're in Hawai'i!" Niall yelled loudly as the van came to a stop. My eyelids peeled open and I noticed we were in a parking lot.
"Oh my gosh, a Hawai'i parking lot! I must be dreaming! I've always wanted to be in one of these!" I exclaimed sarcastically, unbuckling my seatbelt and sliding out of the vehicle, following the boys.
"Don't be such a downer," Zayn teased as we started to walk along the lot and towards the inside of the hotel.
I grinned widely at him, not bothering with a response. I tuned out all the conversation going on, focusing on not falling asleep while walking. That'd be interesting. We got into the lobby, Paul immediately going over and checking us in. He handed us each a key, rambling off six separate hotel rooms. Immediately, we took off to the elevators. None of us paid a second thought to the girls all waiting outside of the hotel. We chased each other once we reached our floor, each person going to their own room. Almost as if it was orchestrated, we all entered our rooms at the same time.
And, as per usual, we each rushed to the balcony. I slid the glass door open, stepping onto the cement and taking in the scenery.
"Holy frick, it's an ocean view!" A voice declared and I peered over the edge of the balcony, noticing Liam, Zayn, Harry, Niall and Louis all doing the exact same thing as me.
