A/N THE LAST CHAPTER :O

Chapter 42:

I yawned once again. The previous day, instead of going to sleep like I should have, Niall and I took a midnight stroll along the beach. It was perfect and totally worth not sleeping, but now I knew I was going to be even more tired than usual. So would Niall. But our fingers entwined, the warmth of his body, the little kisses.. I'd survive on four hours of sleep. Sure, maybe I should have slept sometime in the past week.. But life was too exciting to sleep away.

"Hey! Brook! Can you bring me a water bottle?" Josh called from his hidden spot behind the drums. His phone was attached to his ear, so I assumed he was talking to Lilly. I glanced around me, eyes landing on the case of water. I grabbed one and started up the steps.

"Watch that step, it's off-"

I didn't get to hear the rest of Liam's advice, instead I found myself free falling from at least five feet. I tried my best to block myself from the fall, but I didn't have time to twist my entire body. I guess my reflexes aren't that great.

Flashes of pain rushed through me as my head basically ricocheted off the stage. Within seconds, my head felt like it was going to literally explode. Four pairs of arms reached to help me up, my vision slightly blurry as I tried to balance on both my feet. All across the arena, people were asking if I was okay. I placed my hand on my head. The pain was almost unbearable, it felt like everything in my mind was getting all jumbled up.

I'm just brilliant at getting hurt.

Fifteen minutes later and I  was muttering under my breath as my fingers felt the giant bump on the back of my head. Just bloody fantastic. The bump practically throbbed with an ache and I questioned myself on how I manage to be so clumsy.

"Are you sure you're okay?" One of the stage hands asked. He was only the thirtieth person to ask since I had fallen.

"Yeah, I'm sure. Just a bump. I'll be fine." I responded with a forced smile. The stage hand nodded and headed off to do something. Out of nowhere, I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist and pull me into their chest. I immediately let a smile slide across my face as I leaned into his back.

"The bump on your head is about the same size as this island," Niall chuckled into my ear.

"Does it make me look prettier? I think it accentuates my hairline just beautifully," I joked, right before Niall's lips connected with my cheek.

"You're beautiful no matter what, babe."
