-Izuku's POV-
After a long day, a lot of handing over my slip and voices beginning to prod at my fatigued mind, the first day was over. Yet I knew that I wasn't getting home so soon.
As the last bell rung, chatter started up between the newly acquainted students. I packed my black shoulder bag, pulling it on, clutching the strap. I was the first to leave the classroom.
I knocked on the staff room door. It was opened by Midnight.
"Hey, what do you need?"
"I was told to come here by Aizawa."
She smiled.
"Alright. Eraser! A kid is here for you!"
"Jeez Midnight, you don't have to yell, I can see him from here."
Aizawa stepped into my line of sight and stepped over to me.
"Come on Midoriya, let's go to a seperate room."I follow him into a room with a couch and a coffee table, a bench with cupboards on the side and a big window over looking the grounds as one wall. It was a simple meeting room. (The room Izuku talks to All Might in sometimes)
He sat on one couch and I sat on the one on the other side of the coffee table."So, I want to talk about your power." He began.
"You are aware that the number 1 hero's name is Zeus?"
"Yes."
"And that that is the name of the King of the Greek gods."
"Yes."
"And that-"
"My middle name is Hades, a Greek god, part of the big three of the olympians, Zeus and Poseidon's brother. He was swallowed by the titan Kronos, their father. I've done my research."
He nodded.
"But do you know of the lost gods?"
I shook my head. That I had not heard of."The lost gods is a collection of the Greek gods who are considered to be "fallen" or lost. They are very powerful gods, rejected by the populace for dark powers. Together they're more powerful than the King's court. Why I'm telling you this is that you are a part of this guild. Hades is the leader of the lost gods."
I was stunned by this.
"I...what? I was always told..."
"Told what?" I didn't answer.
"What have you been told Midoriya?" He demanded.
I refused to answer. He just sighed."Well I'm not getting it out of you yet. Anyway, I didn't just call you to tell you you're powerful. You already demonstrated a good level of power but you obviously can't handle it, due to the soul catcher." He says pointing at the chocker.
"I'm talking to you to offer you a chance to train under me, personally. I need to train you to be strong enough to lead the lost gods."
"You don't need to do anything, but you want to train me to lead the group. The group you're a part of. You're Thanatos, god of death, lieutenant of Hades, a member of the lost gods."
He smirked.
"Correct. Do you accept my offer?"
I contemplate the offer.
"If I can become stronger, if I can save people with my power, then I'll train with you."
He smirked."Good. Just letting you know, we'll be sharing names tomorrow. Look out for the names Hypnos, Nyx and Janus."
"The god of sleep, the goddess of night and the god of crossroads?"
"Yes. Although I think Nyx and Janus are in 1-B."
"They're a part of lost gods too then."
"Most of the gods thought of as evil are part of the lost gods, although the main guild has Hades as the leader, Thanatos, Hypnos, Nyx and Janus. The rest are mainly minor gods and are more like an army rather than part of the guild."
Silence thickened around us. It was awkward. Aizawa just pulled out his cocoon of a sleeping bag and completely disappeared from sight as it stretched over the couch, the teacher inside obviously done with the conversation. I chuckle a little, a rare occurrence.
As I got up to leave, my teacher and now trainer's voice poke up from within the bright yellow cocoon.
"Training is on Wednesdays, Friday's and Saturdays. 5pm, don't be late. It'll go to 8."
"Thanks Aizawa."
He just grunted and I left the room.As I walked down the main entrance of UA to the gate, the sun set, glinting off the glass of the building behind me. I pulled out my phone telling mum I was going to be a little late home and not to worry. I gazed up at the setting sun, a calm expression upon my face. It's moments like these when the souls collecting in my head are silent when I can finally be at a level of peace.
I strolled home, the crunch of gravel beneath my boots changing to the soft thumping of concrete beneath my soles.
I take my key out from my bag, sliding it into the lock. It clicked as I turned it and I twisted the knob above it, opening the door to lead to the apartment I live in with my mother.
"Hey Izuku! How was your day?"
"It was fine mum."
"Surely something happened."
"Well, we had a power apprehension test and I got second, Kacchan in first."
She sighed.
"That boy, he has control."
"Hey mum?" Something bothering me.
"Did you know about the lost gods guild?"
She smiled at me softly and nodded."I was going to tell you either tonight or tomorrow. Did a teacher tell you?"
"Yeah, apparently he's Thanatos too."
"Ah, your lieutenant. I'm assuming he's going to train you."
"Yeah, how did you know?"
"Thanatos usually trains Hades, as he is older and your lieutenant when you assume leadership. Currently, he is the leader of the lost gods. Have you found any others?"
"We're sharing names tomorrow, when everyone is going to begin hating me. I've been told to look out for Hypnos, Nyx and Janus are in 1-B."
"You'll have your guild, they won't hate you. They've been rejected for their power just like you."
I smile wistfully at that comment but it soon disappeared as demons replicated my knowledge that I wasn't worth that kindness."Come on. The Greek gods, specifically the olympians are the most powerful beings in the planet, more powerful than the King's court but they're famed. The lost gods is the dark guild of the gods, the only guild with an Olympian actually. You are incredibly strong, with many powers that you can't control yet, probably stronger than Katsuki. The lost gods usually rule from the shadows, underground heroes but the best around. Take Thanatos or Eraser head for example."
"How did you know he was Eraser head?"
"We've talked before."
"Really? Huh."We chatted for a little longer before we had dinner and I was left with my own time before bed. I stared at my ceiling, my eyes empty. I reached up to remove the soul catcher from around my neck. Souls began to crowd my head as a small headache started up. I breathed a pained sigh and sat up, placing the soul catcher on the table next to me.
I closed my eyes, slowing my breath.
All these voices, the souls swirling in my head, it's a part of my power. I can't control who talks to me. The power is constantly active. The more people who talk to me, I get a headache, the severity dependent on that fact.
Meditation helps but that requires focus I rarely have the time for.The voices calmed at my own focus. With the absence of the loud voices, I slid back down under the covers, finding a brief moment of peace not unlike walking home at sunset. Without the warring voices, my eyes fluttered closed.
Darkness not unlike what I have always known, covered me like a blanket, filling me with warmth as I was consumed by sleep.
