The sun rose to glint off forest green irises as orange clouds floated along a yellow sky. Pretty green eyes flickered to black as moaning souls disrupted his clear mind. He sighed as his morning was ruined. He closed his now pitch black eyes and they fluttered open once more to reveal the captivating forest coloured orbs. He lets out another exasperated sigh as he pulls out a black choker with an obsidian jewel in the centre. He puts it on, under his uniform collar. He closed his eyes as the voices faded, the souls fading into the jewel upon his neck.

The crunch of gravel beneath his feet ceased as he paused to look up at the looming gate. His expression gave nothing to the students walking passed him. He began to walk into his new school. His new life.

His hero academy.

-Izuku Midoriya's POV-

I looked at the large door. I wonder who my bullies this year will be. Obviously Kacchan. Who's going to follow him this year? May as well get it over with.

I pushed the door open to see Kacchan being reprimanded by a blue guy. Oh, he was that stickler at the exam, the guy focused on the rules. He seemed strict. Great. I walked over, passing by the two to sit in my seat behind Kacchan.
"Nerd! You actually got in?" He asked with his usual snark.
"Obviously Kacchan."
I hadn't talked to him at all since the exams, not that I talked to him much.
"Be nice to your King, monster."
I didn't respond but the blue-haired sonic did.
"You're the King? I'm very sorry your highness."
"Whatever four-eyes."
Sonic retreated from his scolding. I could see he looked defeated and sceptical of the said ruler.

Kacchan was in fact the King of the King's court, the most powerful guild. He was always complimented for his power, and that enlarged his ego and his self-worth, while lowering mine to the point where I believe everything he calls me.

"Monster"

"Villain"

"Creep"

"Nerd"

"Black-eyed freak"

I sighed in frustration as voices swirled in my head, reminding me of what I already thought, what I already knew.

I sent the tormenting souls back into the jewel on the chocker against my skin. It glowed slightly, signalling that it was full of souls, I wouldn't be able to get rid of more voices if they came. The blue-haired boy noticed the purple glow.
"Hey! What is that in your neck! That is most certainly not part of the uniform!"
I glanced at the yelling boy and reached into my open black shoulder bag, pulling out a slip of paper. I handed it to him, opting for silence. He took the paper and glanced over it, reading the permission slip for the soul catcher around my neck.
"Oh! So sorry!"
I shook my head and he handed back the slip. I put it on the corner of my desk so I could display it to my teachers.
"So your name is Midoriya?"
I looked up, slight surprise gracing my features.
"It was in the slip."
I nodded.
"My name is Iida Tenya. Nice to meet you."
He stuck out his hand and I reluctantly shook it.
"Class starts soon." I tell him softly. He looks at a watch on his wrist and exclaimed that I was right, walking over to his seat as no. 4. I sighed.
A minute passes and the large class was graced with a large, yellow caterpillar.
The cocoon of a sleeping bag opened up to reveal a very tired man with severe eye bags, holding a stop watch.
"It took you all 8 seconds to quieten down. That's not very logical. I am your home room teacher, Aizawa Shota. Here, grab a uniform and get changed, meet me on the ball field." He pulled out twenty uniforms with our names on them from his sleeping bag. I got up, many following my example and grabbed the uniform with my name on it. As a second thought, I retrieved the permission slip on my desk and left to get changed, following a redhead and a black-haired boy.
Changing took a second as I left my uniform in my locker, many of the boys sending sceptical looks at my heavily scarred body, reminders of bullies going too far. I even had one from Kacchan. He spared the scar a look before refocusing on changing. Many questioned my chocker as Kacchan called out that I still wore the "stupid necklace". I said nothing. I walked out of the boy's change room as the first one out.
I walked over to our teacher, Mr Aizawa. He glanced at me approaching. I caught the slight approval in the cracks of his soul but that extinguished as he caught sight of the chocker low on my neck. I handed him the slip I had stashed into my pocket. He checked it over and nodded, handing it back for me to place it in my pocket once more.
"Is it full?"
I nodded back.
"Tell me if you need to step out. I am meant to be your teacher after all."
I nodded once more and stepped away, watching as a few of my classmates walked out of the change room and towards us.

Once the class had fully gathered, he gave a brief overview of the task, a fitness test.
"Bakugo! You came first in the practical exam, what was your average softball throw?"
"Around 70 metres."
"Ok, throw this with your quirk."
Kacchan caught the softball thrown at him and stepped into the circle with an unusually calm facade. He pulled his arm back, taking his stance with him, and pulled his body forward, throwing the ball and propelling it with the explosive power the person with the name of King had.
Let's not forget what he yelled: "SHINE!"; die.
Aizawa showed a tablet with the number of his throw, flashing a 305.7.
Many exclamations rang out through the class.
"This is going to be fun!" Exclaimed one pink alien girl. I wonder what her name is?
"Fun?" Oh, I could feel the waves of intensity and power rolling of the man that was our teacher, and within it I found the smell of death. Death? Who is this man?

"If you think this is fun, let's add some stakes then. Whoever comes last gets expelled."
That riots the class into protests but one powerful, glowing stare from the man who called himself our teacher silenced such complaints.
"Alright, let's begin. You are free to use your powers in each of the tests, just adhere to the rules."
The pink skinned girl was right. This is going to be fun.

——————————

The results were up. I had used the power of the shadows and my armour to enhance my strength and speed. I had gotten 2nd place, after Kacchan, before some Todoroki kid. He looked dead inside and his soul was in turmoil.

After the ball throw, in which I accidentally flaunted my control over my immense powers, Kacchan stalked up to me, growling, asking how I controlled my "villainous" powers so well. He gripped my chocker but was quickly stopped by Aizawa. Unfortunately the restraints Aizawa put upon the teen made him pull my chocker off. As the jewel lost contact with my skin, a shot of searing pain hit my head as the voices flooded back, clouding my thoughts. I was crouched on the ground, clutching my head as voices pounded into my skull, bringing on a stinging headache. I felt someone crouching down next to me, and when the familiar shape of my chocker was once again around my neck, I looked up at them.
It was a purple-haired boy with eye bags to rival my own. He had piercing purple eyes and he held out his hand for me as he stood up. I hesitantly took it and he lifted me off the ground.
I'd never been shown kindness like that.
I muttered a quick thank you and we rejoined the class, the feral King having calmed down a little.

"I can't believe that guy is the King you know?"
The purple haired male said to me.
"Yeah, Kacchan isn't what you would expect. No one knew that the King always rules with tyranny and violence."
"You know him?"
I nodded.
"Shinso Hitoshi."
"Midoriya Izuku."

Back to the leaderboard. Shinso got nineteenth, an invisible girl in last. I sighed. She was freaking out.

Over nothing.

"No one is being expelled. Hagakure, you're fine. It was a logical ruse."
A lot of people breathed a sigh of relief apart from Kacchan, a lady called Yaoyorozu, the Todoroki guy, Shinso and myself.
"Also, Midoriya, come here."
Being accused of something in the first day? This is earlier than usual.

The class walked back to the change rooms to get back into the normal uniform and I walked over to my home room teacher.
"Yes?"
"That necklace, it's a soul catcher right? I saw how you reacted when Bakugo tore it off."
"Yes. It keeps the voices away."
"So that means you are the one among my students who is Hades, correct."
I flinched at the identification but nodded a yes.
"Alright, I want you to meet me after class."
I merely nodded before I was dismissed and I went to go change.

What does he want to discuss?
