Chapter 7 - Livin' La Vida Loca

Recap of the Week

Y/N had spent the week getting to know everyone and had become quick friends with everyone on the team particularly Steve and Bucky with the team now coining them 'The Brooklyn Boys' as he was going on runs with the pair of super soldiers surprising them with his stamina.

He was also getting strength training with Thor. He thought how cool was it that he was training with literal gods! Well that was until Thor challenged Y/N to a pull up contest on his first day where Y/N had managed to get to 76 without dismounting before collapsing to the ground in exhaustion.

Y/N: Exhaustively Beat....that.... God of......Thunder

Y/N who was groaning and red from exhaustion as he lay on the floor with his face scrunched up.l, pain not really felt despite his fucked up nerves but not physically able to get up.

Thor smirked at Y/N, squatting over him and tapping him lightly on the cheek twice.

Thor: You know I think you win this one. He turned to walk out the door. See you later Y/N.

Y/N who was still on the floor put his middle finger up at the God.

Y/N: Dickhead.

Needless to say that Y/N dozed off in the gym for a bit, his ego slightly bruised after being outsmarted by the god.

Y/N had also been working in the lab with Bruce and Tony and teaching them how he designed his 'blood bullets'. The pair of geniuses were fascinated by Y/N's understanding of their work despite never setting foot in a school before.

Y/N had a spent time with Carol, Wanda, Peter, Sam and Pietro in his spare time trying to catch him up on Movies, TV shows and video games he had missed out on as a youth.

Y/N also touched up on his hand to hand combat with Clint and Nat. His sessions with Clint were fairly even
and to Clint's surprise so we're Y/N's ones with Nat. Clint would joke about being just as good as Nat before having his ass handed to him by her when he sparred with her.

Speaking of Nat, Y/N had particularly enjoyed her company over the last week especially with them being 'floor buddies' it was almost impossible to avoid each other. They would hang out late at night and watch TV together, talk about random shit and share laughs together.

Y/N had to admit it had been a great week, possibly the best of his life.

It felt like..............home.

It was the first Friday since Y/N had joined the Avengers and as the ladies predicted, Tony was indeed throwing a party.

It was the middle of the day and Y/N had come down from the lab to get food where he saw Steve and Bucky eating lunch. Y/N strolled over to them.

Y/N: What's up dinosaurs? Y/N waved as he took a seat at the table.

Steve and Bucky both rolled their eyes at the nickname as Y/N took a seat at the table. The super soldiers were thinking he was spending too much time with Stark.

Steve: Not much Y/N.

Y/N: I came to see if you guys wanted to come into the city with me after.

Bucky: What for?

Y/N: I need some new clothes especially for this party tonight. It's been a while.

Steve and Bucky looked at Y/N in confusion as they continued to eat their food.

Steve: I thought you'd been to parties before?

Y/N rolls his eyes 

Y/N: Yeah with crack heads and crooks, they didn't really have a 'dress formal' code there. Plus Tony lent me his card for a wardrobe overhaul. Y/N waves Tony's card in front of them.
