Chapter 17 - Showtime

(A/N - Right I'm back and so is my sight. Plz read important info ahead

1 - WTF I'm out of action for five days and this book has nearly double the reads and was #2 on xmalereader, #5 on avengers and #4 on NatashaRomanoff. Absolute legends!

2 - The few days break has given me time to think that I had no real plan or direction on this book (eg. Venom was never supposed to be part of the book just saw it again on Netflix and thought 'that could work') sooooo there will only be two chapters left before I end. I'm actually sad to see it end. I want to make it very clear, it is not ending because I don't enjoy writing it because I absolutely do.

3 - BUT I have a plan now for a much longer project to do with the Avengers that I hope that those of you who see this will read when it comes out. If you want a little teaser and i will leave it in the next chapter.

4 - Thank you guys so much for all the support on this book like I said this was completely improvised and you guys have inspired me to make this next book.

Y/N, Steve and Tony got back to the New York and the whole team was immediately gathered. Y/N was met by a large embrace from his girlfriend.

Natasha: Are you ok?

Her tone was laced with worry which Y/N hated to see from Natasha.

Y/N: I'm fine nothing we couldn't handle.

Steve came up to the pair.

Steve: Sorry guys but we really need to talk.

Regaining their professionalism, they headed over to the rest of the team who were gathered in the conference room as Tony, Steve and Y/N explained the situation.

Tony: So Shapiro wants to take over the world basically and we've gotta stop him.

Y/N: Try to be more generic would you?

Tony held his chest theatrically whilst Steve gave Y/N a 'not right now' look.

Y/N: This guy called us out because he's arrogant, wants the world to see us get destroyed in order for the world to lose hope.

Steve: He told Y/N that he has an army to fight us.

Tony: This guy can create portals we can only assume this is how the army is getting in.

Wanda: Any idea where they're gonna be?

Y/N quickly answered

Y/N: Los Angeles in two days.

Pietro: Well we need to evacuate the city then.

Fury: I'll get Hill on it right away.

Fury left the room to call Agent Hill whilst the rest of them continued.

Bucky: What about their army, what are we up against?

Y/N had an unfortunate look on his face.

Y/N: We have no idea

There were some light chuckles from Sam and Clint.

Clint: Going in blind against an outer space army sounds good.

Bruce: It sounds like New York all over again but we know almost nothing about what we're up against.

The other Avengers were arguing about their chances in this fight whilst Y/N remained quiet until he had simply had enough.
