ISABELLE'S POV

I hated that I had to leave my home and lie to everyone, but I couldn't move again.

Moving is just too much for me. Every time we live somewhere it's always temporary and I never let myself get close to anyone. But this time was different.

I let myself get close to Adam. And, now, I honestly regret it.

If I didn't get close to him, if I didn't love him, I wouldn't be where I am now. I wouldn't be in my friends lake house by myself, hiding from the world.

I've only been gone for two days. Adam called me yesterday and told me my mom has been grilling him, asking where I was. She called the cops and everyone I know has been called in for questioning. I'm worried that Chelsea might break.

I can't keep this up forever. If it comes down to it, I'm probably gonna have to get on a bus. Thankfully, I have 500 dollars in my teddy bear. Otherwise I'd be fucked.

---------
Knock knock

I jumped up at the sound of someone knocking on the door.

"Isabella! I know you're in there. Open up," Brandon said.

"Brandon?"

"Yeah. Let me in."

"Hold on," I said, getting up from the bed, and heading towards the door.

I opened the door to Brandon and a woman figure hiding in the bushes behind him.

"Hurry up. There's someone out there," I said, ushering him inside, and locking the door behind him.

"How are you, sis?"

"Fine. How'd you find me?"

"I overheard you the night you left talking on the phone." He said.

"Oh," I said, and heard a bang. Someone was knocking loudly on the door. "Who is it?"

"You're mother. Open the god damn door."

And I did. She was furious but at the same time she looked relieved.

"What the fuck were you thinking?"

"I was thinking that I'm not fucking leaving! My life is here! With Adam."

"And, sweetie, I understand that, I do. But what about your family. They need you too."

"She's right, Iz," Brandon commented.

"But, I'm tired of moving. I just... I-I-I can't. No more," I said, trying to keep back tears.

"Sweety," my mom came to me and put her arms around me. "This is New York were talking about. And I promise you no more moving after this."

"Promise?"

"I promise."

"Okay. I'll come home."

"Get your stuff and let's go home."
